Barrios is straight up and down. no special effects. Tank decapitates him.
I’m predicting a Barrios upset

I used to give Green out to anyone who gave me my morning chuckle, but sadly you'll have to settle for a 'like' instead. May the universe smile upon your day, Mike.

Not saying davis loses, but he hasnt really fought against special effects opponents yet. The only relatively tricky one was pedraza but he somehow fought the worst possible fight vs davis.
Barrios doesnt seem to be a future HOF. But he is quick to the counter, especially with the body punches, has solid punch placement and maintains his power into the late rounds.
The threat of counters with his power should keep davis honest from just rushing in. Similar to loma I assume davis cant allow himself to do as many mistakes at a higher weight class and cant just do the high guard walk down style that he did in the last round vs Leo.
Akhmedov fights way more aggressive and has a way higher output than davis which overwhelmed barrios. It's probably was also a great learning fight because he didnt know how to clinch and slow down the pace in that fight.
His dimensions and skillset could theoretically make it a difficult fight for Davis if barrios has the right gameplan.Comment

Barrios isn't a world champion. Taylor is the undisputed at 140
I mean no disrespect but, how can you cherry-pick a world champion? I just watched the Barrios vs Akhmedov fight the other day, and by no means was that fight a robbery. A robbery is like a guy winning 8 or 9 rounds and the decision going to other guy. Barrios dropped Akhmedov twice and won most of the early rounds. That's 2 10-8 rounds, and 4 or 5 of the mid/early rounds. So, there's no way that fight was robbery. Now, were the scorecards wide, f3ck yeah, but wide scorecards don't equate to a robbery.
But, I do agree, I have Tank winning this won, but he's going to struggle big time, pun intended.Comment

the WBC franchised 2 champions for sanctioning fees lol. But mostly the bs in boxing is done by the WBC and the WBA, which are the 2 oldest santioning bodies. The WBA is the oldest. That's why it's the most disappointing from them. The WBC didn't come around until like '63 with Liston.. Holmes made the IBF credible and the WBO had been around since 88 and no one paid attention to it until DLH beat Sturrm and they used it to promote his fight with Hopkins in 2004. It's a **** show.. I know they all got interim champs, but the WBA got a gold, interim, regular, and super champ.Comment
