I'm a fan of Canelo but lets be real he couldn't stop Matthew Hatton, it took him 12 to rid a shot Ryan Rhodes.
He couldn't put down, hurt or stop a lot of guys.
I don't buy he was drained at all.
Now suddenly he's backing up GGG, caving in faces, breaking arms and all sorts.
Harder to knockout the faster and more skilled fighters in the lower weights imo. Plus I think he started using his performance enhancing drugs when he knew he couldn't make 154lbs. much longer and more people were calling him out for Caneloweight 155lbs. He knew he needed his "tainted meat" to beat up stiff Eurobums from 160lbs.+
C Smith, NBKOd
Jacobs only been KTFO 1 (almost a career ago)
GGG, NBKOd
Jr, technically, NBKOd
L Smith, NBKOd
Lara, NBKOd
Trout, to that point, NBKOd
That's 8 fights.
I'm sure he's fought other guys who never been KOd

Something seems a bit off to me
Or his rise in weight led to fighting bigger opponents who can take a punch better when fighting boxers who come from lower weights?
He was also 20 and 21 when he faced Matthew Hatton and Ryan Rhodes.
Men don’f stop growing at 21, your body keeps growing until about 25.
He has 38 KO’s in 56 wins. I hate to break it you but in boxing as you go up in competition and size, it’s harder to get KO’s.
If you check every active resumes, you will see stoppages decline. They start happening sporadically, or when a fighter is deliberately given a low tier boxer, or if the boxer is past prime, or too small, etc.
At top level of boxing, KO’s are just much harder to come by especially against bigger guys.
Floyd Mayweather had a 27-0 record with 21 wins by KO’s at 130lbs. At 147lbs, he had a 12-0 record with 3 KO’s, that is equivalent to Malignaggi’s KO rate at 147. At 154lbs, Floyd went 3-0 with no KO’s.
