And you're correct...the content of one's character is all that should matter! When half-headed wannabes can't compete or feel inferior, they bring up race and provoke "racist" responses to cover for their inadequacies. We've seen it so much and this is today's narrative.

Funny thing, we'd get "cancelled" for not siding with Wilder and calling it what it is! Wilder's country, exhibits limited skills and has otherworldly power....we should like or dislike him based on that alone, not because he's "American".

Nationalism is really only a very recent concept in human history. It has manifested in a lot of terrible actions for sure, but humans haven't really needed nationalism to do terrible things to each other. Truthfully, though, the average person has more in common with people who look like them, share beliefs or live in their neighborhood or community(which has been marginalized by nationalism and globalization). If Spence said he roots for black fighters, people on here and other places would be quick to call him "racist", when it's a pretty normal thing to support people who look like you. Canelo states **** like this all the time and people are mostly fine with it. I've never seen a youtube video involved a Mexican fighter where there were absolutely no comments bigging up Mexico. Never seen a post about a Latino fighter from random country, where people weren't espousing the greatness of hispanic fighters. Be consistent guys. If it's okay for one, it should be okay for the other. If it isn't okay, then rally against all of them. It's also okay to like fighters who don't look like you or share anything much in common with you. It's okay to like different styles of fighters as well. I believe so at least.

All facts. But ask yourself why it's okay for others, and why the average boxingscene poster gets their panties in a bunch when someone who looks like Spence says it?

Spence is wise. All signs are pointing to a Wilder victory in this fight. In addition, all the colors in America should be supporting our fellow countrymen wholeheartedly.

Problem is your personal support for or against a fighter doesn't really matter as it doesn't effect the outcome of the fight. What you should be looking forward to is your guy (Fury) easily defeating wilder in the trilogy. Those of us who like Wilder are pulling for him to stage an upset. Either way, the personal integrity of the fighters won't decide the fight.

I am just saying why I am an American who doesn't support Wilder, no where did I say that is why Fury is gonna beat him again. Fury will beat him again because Wilder is a one trick pony and Fury is light years ahead of him when it comes to boxing ability. Also bringing in the man who took a dive for him will not help, just another yes man in the group.

He seems to have rolled two very different and separate things into one.

Thing 1. There is supporting someone because they come from the same country as you (or same state, or town or whatever). This is OK, but of course, it's fine if you don't do it also.


Thing 2. There is saying you think someone is going to win because they come from the same country as you. This makes no sense.
