That's more to do with Filipinos being very patriotic, I work with 6 Filipinos, 4 of them have been in my current country of residence (Pacific island nation) for 10+ years and 2 of them since birth and every single one of them identifies as Filipino first, it's admirable in my opinion

Agreed, I have no issues with how you support or root for your countrymen. But like yourself you wouldn't see me picking a British fighter just because he is British. Fury v Wilder which spence is speaking about, am sure there are people who are rooting for Wilder but are picking Fury to win, especially when they know that they have had two previous fights which Fury was on top in 90% of those two fights.
This is **** on point, I always support the British fighters but would never bet on them unless I knew for a fact they were a level above there opponent, which rarely happens with British fighters admittedly, the most recent fight I was confident enough to bet on was the Taylor Ramirez fight and that very nearly backfiredComment

MLK said it best, judge people on the content of their character rather than the colour of their skin, but somewhere along the line s**t got twisted and now u have people like oldskoolf*g who's every second post panders to the brainwashed *** crowd, get woke go broke.I believe it's somewhat of a jinx to bring identity politics and so on into anything....a fighter usually goes down from there. And why is Spence telling fans to root for a fighter because of where he's from? Everybody knows Wilder sucks and he arguably ruined an Undisputed HW bout between two of the better fighters in the division.
Didn't Wilder start all of this "Til this DAY!" nonsense a couple of years back and looked like crap since? Stop trying to pull on people's heart strings and play on their anger, it's weak and lame. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Good is good and evil is evil.
Just shut up and fight. Everybody wants to be a freedom fighter and it's cringey at this point. It usually means, "I'm not good at what I do and everybody around me that excels only does because of their race, gender (whatever that is nowadays) and/or place of residence." I'm just spit-balling here.
If Wilder wants our support, then he needs to listen to his team, train consistently and own up to his faults while giving us good performances. That's what's wrong nowadays...nobody wants to be wrong or look like the lesser man, so they'd rather virtue signal for validation. Pathetic.Comment

Yea totally true, but to many people have been drinking from the critical race theory fountain these days so everything is about raceIt's not so much the American/non American and its Definitly not the black/white. It's MUCH more the ridiculous excuses that Wilder made after the fight and him blaming everybody else except himself for me. Blamed the commission, his conermen, The gloves, the outfit, ect. He could never just say"Fury was the better man that night". BJ FloresComment

I don't have a problem with that, it's not racist to do that, it's just being able to relate to that particular person, everyone needs to chill on the race bs, IT'S OKAY to relate and root for someone who is your colour and from where u are from ffsComment
