  • The Time Mayweather ACTUALLY lost a fight but the ref broke the rules/cheated...

Since the ref is in the spotlight for not stopping the fight yesterday. Just thought I'd post this. This fight Floyd was kd too,but the ref didn't count it. And when Floyds 2 trainers entered the ring & his dad/trainer choked out Judah,Floyd was supposed to be automatically DQ'D but the ref cheated for him.(Steele)

If I'm wrong about this then explain your case
The Nevada Athletic Commission will hold a special hearing Thursday to review the 10th-round incident that nearly sparked a full-scale riot in the crowd of 15,170 at the Thomas & Mack Center.

You’re actually the one ignoring the rules…

‘Although there have been disqualifications when a cornerman has entered the ring during a round, it is not an automatic disqualification under Nevada's rules. According to Nevada's rules, "The referee may, in his discretion, stop a contest or exhibition if an unauthorized person enters the ring or fenced area during a round."’

The Nevada Athletic Commission gave boxing trainer Roger Mayweather the maximum penalty for stepping into the ring and triggering a brawl last weekend.

I knew someone like you would bring that up.(as if any other ref would ever NOT DQ any other fighter in the same circumstances) You troll

Referees discretion to DQ in that scenario.

You said the ref cheated and ignored the rules.

The rules state that it’s the referee’s discretion. So he actually followed the rules.

He shouldn't be criticized. He did a great job.

That was an incredibly competitive fight and dead even until the much later rounds.

He would have hurt everyone by stopping it. He would have robbed Judah at a chance to have his greatest performance. He would have taken Mayweather’s 0. And he would have robbed the viewing public of a great fight.

So I don’t know why we complain about this one.

I watched Jose Luis Castillo win 8 or 9 rounds against Mayweather and lose. That one still bugs me.

Good judgment by the ref. We wanted a legit ending with a clear winner and got it. I hated the way the ref handled Kirkland-Molina

As I wrote above,do you honestly think any other ref(or same ref) would ever NOT DQ any other fighter in same circumstances?(I mean come on,his trainer literally choked the opposing fighter ffs)

Just because a ref has ultimate authority in the ring does not equate to him being infallible & his favoritism for the cashcow being legitimate.(theres been several cases of refs being overruled both during & after the fight by the commission)

I mean that same ref didn't count the kd when Floyds glove hit the canvas(I let that 1 pass),but in boxing terms he allowed Floyds dad to get away with murder.

The ref having final authority to end a fight, does not mean he can't be overruled,or that he can blatantly do what no other ref has ever done.

The closest Floyd ever came to getting his ass whooped was vs Maidana. He was crying like a ho in the corner when Maidana was roughing him up, possibly a few punched away from falling to pieces.

Forgot to add, what I find especially amusing is you made a thread about Bayliss "cheating for Ramirez vs Taylor."

According to your own logic that thread & all your other drama queen threads you make complaining about refs are now automatically irrelevant, Because as you yourself say"the rules give the ref authority to do whatever he wants"

I'm going to post your response Everytime you complain about a ref from here on out (btw Bayliss v Taylor isn't even in the same universe as Steele allowing 2 trainers to storm the ring & choke out opposing fighter. Thats like saying a judge giving a felon community service for murder is ok,then getting outraged when a different judge goes easy on someone because they got brutally beaten by the owners of a house they were robbing.
