im glad its not selling well.

hopefully it shows all these exec's in boxing that you cant bleed the loyal fans of the sport for every nickel and dime they have.

Im tired of there being a PPV EVERY MONTH! its BS. the the fullest.

PPV's should ONLY be used (in my opinion) when you have a fight between two guys who bring in enough people that a PPV is profitable AS WELL AS (this is the part they forget) is viewed as worth it to purchase and pleasing to the fans who purchased it.

The point is Pac JMM 3 will do better than Floyd JMM.

That's your opinion but i don't think so.

I never thought Floyd JMM is as big of a fight as Pac Cotto and never expected to outsell it. The Mayweather Promotions and GBP did. They announced Floyd JMM is the biggest fight of the year. Bigger than Pac Cotto. Who is the fool now?
As Stated before if you hold Floyd accountable for saying such a thing you are unrealistic and your opinion holds no validity.

Maybe Pac vs JMM 3 probably will outsell JMM PBF because there is a ****ING STORY behind the fight. They were extremely close and contraversial fights.....god I cant even begin to explain how dumb I feel for even taking the time to write this out since you are obvioiusly totally illogical.

They are trying to sell the fight...

I can't wait for this fight. This fight does deserve to be on PPV. The P4P King coming back against a man who most think beat the current P4P number #1 Pac Man.

I wish that happened in all big fights, so ordinary fans who can't afford the huge PPV fees can see the fights, and so that fans can see fights on big screens again. Only a real hater would criticise the fact it's being shown in theatres, when that's so obviously good for boxing and good for fans.
I'm saying the fact that they will show it on theathers coz it wont sell on ppv. Is that criticizing? Im a hater bcoz i said that truth?

It wont be free but its only 15 or 20 dollars. They know its hard to sell the fight at 50

Well said. Its good for boxing though. But I doubt if they will do that if Floyd is fighting SSM or Cotto

I'll be buying the Mayweather-JMM card fo sho. I hear they might match Saul Alvarez up with Antonio Diaz, and that may be a good test for him unless Diaz is way past it.

I have heard that Valero may be off the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard. This isn't the promoter's fault, but this is what I don't understand about Arum. He automatically throws a **** fight between Foreman and Santos on the PPV without the rest of the undercard being totally finalized. The Gomez-Soto Karauss and Montiel-Morel fights are up in the air. Those fights are decent, but nothing that gets my blood boiling.

This failure to sell tickets is all PBF AND GBP faults PERIOD! JMM has never been a draw and PBF need an A side to sell. Then u stick it in vegas w/ a SH** economy and a REAL superfight looming 2 months later in Pac-Cotto. Plus u asking a lightweight to fight a welterweight. They should have sc****d the whole idea after they saw the inital tickets sales back in June.

It will potentially bring in millions of new fans who would not have watched it if it had only been on PPV. In the old days when showing big fights live in theatres was the norm, it was not uncommon to get more than 10 million viewers.

And many fans who can afford the PPV will still prefer to watch it at home.

If they do less than that then all those that say Floyd is a bigger draw should also STFU.

This is a fair comparison since it's the same opponent and Pac's fight was before the credit crunch.
Was Pac or Marquez at the "known" level to casual PPV buyers at that time? I don't recall any type of huge HBO marketing, 24/7 series, flying the fighters around the country for press tours.....are you really trying to say that if the pre Diaz/DLH/Hatton Pacquiao was a household name...before Floyd "created" the 24/7 series...which in my opinion is great for getting the casual fan hyped about a fight.....no he was not. Only people who truly followed boxing knew of Pac....even before the *******s came out the woodwork. If you truly want to compare PPV #s....take a look at Floyd's fight vs. Judah...2 well known fighters, or the title fight against baldomir.....that would be A FAIR COMPARISON OF WHO IS THE GREATER PPV DRAW.
