Do people honestly believe that Deontay is going to start boxing?

They didn't talk about adding boxing techniques. Y'all have been, but not Scott or Wilder. They've been talking about new set ups, which is a puncher's bag.

Y'all can say you can't learn them, but, I can you teach Marciano's overhead set up with words let alone showing a fool. This **** isn't complicated and either Tyson's got answers or he doesn't.

Do I expect Wilder to have something more than follow me into a corner so I know where to throw my right? Yeah, probably, the **** isn't hard and that is why everyone who didn't have any pedigree and started late are taught them rather than sticking and moving. Do I expect it to work? I don't know if expect or work are the right terms. He might have something that shocks Tyson though.

he can improve. watch the first stiverne fight. the talent to be a boxer/puncher behind a jab is there. wilder's problems are all mental. when you're that long and you have heavy hands like taht the sport should be easy. wilder made it hard on hiuimself by neglecting his jab and falling in love with his power. fury is 10X the boxer he used to be, even against klitschko. he trusts his jab, his chin, his pacing, his power, all of it. he's a craftsman and one of hte sport's best boxers along with canelo, crawford, and not too many others!

hes like 35 and hasnt fought in a year

        his style isnt changing

his power is at the tip of his punches, or rather he his power is from that one telegraphed right hand from the outside. he has no inside punch, no uppercut, no left hook, nothing.

Fury already has the blue print which is why this 3rd match is pointless

Lol, he will just try to land a big right hand and survive.

If this bum actually tries boxing, Fury kills him.

Deontay is cashing himself out. After Fury beats him for a third time, we'll never hear from him again.
No, I can't see him boxing or jabbing Fury this time. He needs a slugfest to win this fight. So I can just envision seeing Wilder coming out of the gate very fast at the opening bell and bum rushing Tyson Fury.

He knows he has to throwing punches in bunches and getting them off first. But most of all he knows has to touch some parts of Fury body in order to weaken him and win this fight because when he touches Fury he hurts him.

If he starts off to slow and cautious by trying to out box Fury in order to land that one single punch then Fury will just might as well pick him apart. I just want the old Deontay Wilder back; The Wilder before he became champion. The guy that used to throw caution to the wind and just came out swinging.

If that's the Wilder we see, then I don't see this fight going past three rounds. Wilder will knock him out in less than three rounds.

Wilder doesn't need to start boxing to win a decision. He needs to start boxing enough to find a way to land that right hand. To me, Fury is the favorite to win but it ain't a foregone conclusion. Wilder has got a fairly good chance here.

So... your taking a professional test, like for example, a Broker's license, a medical tech position... vis a vis my wife who is obsessing over getting every answer right for one of these things lol... The test says "you have 100 questions and can get 20 wrong" (80%?). Would you rather spend your days trying to go through each area of the test... to make sure you are aiming to get 100% when nobody cares (its a pass/fail scenario)... Or would you rather focus on an area where you know if you get one question more correct it will push you over the threshhold of 79% and get you a pass? Keep in mind your not competing against others... Some people are great test takers, some are awful but know their stuff, and everything in between...

This analogy is perfect regarding Wilder. Wilder is not competing with Fury to be a better boxer. Wilder knows he will probably not outbox Fury... Wilder's efforts are for one thing and one thing alone: Just as my wife should be aiming to get 80 questions right... Wilder is aiming to create as many opportunities to land a big punch as he can. If working night and day on boxing skills give Wilder just 4 more great opportunities to crack at Fury it is well worth it.

In a weird way I feel him not using his jab, being so unbalanced and having such a pathetic output worked in his favour.
He often goes rounds almost without throwing anything, opposition put their guard down one split second the next thing they know they're waking up seeing 30 fingers in front of their face.

Its like Randall Bailey granted Bailey could box and had a good skillset but particularly late in his career his whole style was based on boring fans/his opponent to tears then he'd capitalise with that thunderbolt right hand.

I am not sure Wilder would be better off. It sounds weird but there is a method to his madness & him being awful technically worked much to his favour.

I think if he boxes more his opponents will get a better gauge on his speed, power, timing and probably take his shots better.
