You don't build hype by barely putting 3 intelligible sentences together... You don't build Hype by crying about your so-called situation EVERY FREAKING DAY OF YOUR LIFE... You don't build hype avoiding the one fight that could put the thickest piece of butter on your bread in your whole career... You don't build Hype by putting everything on ***ism and Racism...

She can't come to terms with the facts...women's boxing isn't popular. She must have thought she was going to be boxing's version of Rhonda Rousey. Maybe if Shields was actually an entertaining fighter with something else going for her she may have been more popular, but I don't see any female boxing superstars coming along any time soon. I doubt she will be any more successful or popular in MMA.

She didn't get her just due? A woman comes in to a mans sport and makes a living doing it? She should be thankful that she had the oppertunity to even do it and make money. I mean, really "not a whole lot of folks give a fook about the lil" ladies scrappin' it out. Truer words have never been written. A side show attraction crying about getting her just due with the big money. When there is more than one star fighter in womans boxing go after her. Gain or drop what you have to, get that fight and get your just due. It takes two tango and two to get your just due..............Rockin'

Rhonda Rousey is an interesting one. Maybe Shields should talk to whomever did Rousey's PR work back when she went through the stratosphere.

I do agree that the outright hate she gets is based on nothing more than racism which has found a home in boxing again

womens boxing is a new sport and not a global sport like tennis for example with lots of different nationalites full time pros and mega serious about the sport and lots of fans onboard, men and women, its got a long way to go to reach that competitive level

Ronda had a female Mike Tyson of MMA thing going on for awhile that lifted her a lot. Idk if there was some PR team that killed like Ronda's results killed it for her.

I mean look at her record.
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronda_Rousey

12-2. Won her first 12 fights. All 12 ended by submission or KO, 11 in the first round & 8 in the first minute.

Its hard to sell, "this fight is going the distance" in boxing or any combat sport. Thats one of the biggest hurdles in female boxing if you ask me right up there with the depth issue.

Female sports in general are pathetic, mainly due to the fact that women aren't actually that good or enjoyable to watch in any physical pursuit, unless they are laying on their backs, on all fours or on their knees. Clarissa Shields also has the whole Wakanda angry embittered black woman thing going which adds to her lack of popularity.

boxers, and not just shields. got to realize that when guys like tyson and mayweather turned pro, they were fighting once and sometimes twice a month. They built their name being active and fighting the top fights that people wanted to see. You can't turn pro and jump into ppv status while fighting once or twice a year. Mayweather turned pro, was fighting on TNF , at one point 2 fights in 2 weeks, and built up his brand over the years. In Mayweather's first year as a pro, he had 11 fights. Shields has been a pro 5 goddamn years and only has 11 fights. And I'm not picking on shields. I'm a fan, but I'd tell her this as well, something the people in her camp is not doing. You've got to fight on free tv, undercards, and take the tough fights regularly before the superstar status comes. Tyson did it, Roy Jones did, Mayweather did it, Hagler, , lots of them. And this goes for Ennis(who has already started talking about being a ppv star and his biggest win is Lipinets), Crawford, spence, etc..
