Womens boxing is definitely not a new sport.

Granted the amateur angle is new-ish & the Olympic thing has only been going on so long as well, but female boxing has been around since I've been watching boxing. Christy Martin was a mainstay on Don King cards for awhile back in the 90's.

I mean look at her record.

12-2. Won her first 12 fights. All 12 ended by submission or KO, 11 in the first round & 8 in the first minute.

Its hard to sell, "this fight is going the distance" in boxing or any combat sport. Thats one of the biggest hurdles in female boxing if you ask me right up there with the depth issue.
People love knockouts. If her team can find her soft opponents that she can ko, AND DO IT REGULARLY, she can be a star. You can't be a star fighting twice a year and going the distance every time. it doesn't work like that for the casual fan.. Rousey's competition wasn't very good. As soon as Dana White started signing more female fighters with skill, he made the mistake of putting her in the octagon with Holm. Holm beat the hell out of her, Nunes stopped her in 1 round and she retired because she really was never that good. He hid her from Cyborg all those years and fed her bums, but this was great marketing. Shields doesn't have a team as smart to do this for her.

Bullsheet... waaa! Maybe the females are less entertaining than male boxers. Maybe because there are no big fights to be made. Maybe it's because the sport is infintile compared to the male version. Maybe because I could pay $10 or $15 and see more skill in an amateur show.

Boxing is racist, my ass it is........Rockin'

Idk about that. I think she beat some of the best girls in the world. But yea I wouldn't disagree with you that she was a one trick pony & once the next gen of girls come along & they've been vying for you the whole time & got you figured out its gonna test how good you can continue to be real fooking quick & obviously Ronda landed on her face with that, quite literally landed on her face.

Regardless of Ronda's failure in her last two fights she still had a level of success Shields couldn't dream of because Shields can't even stop girls 3 levels below her. If she had the best team its still a problem she can't stop people. Just like its a problem for high level mens boxers like Shakur & Devin currently. No one is gonna be wearing a Shakur shirt when he's going 12 rounds with guys he's levels above. Don't matter if he's with TR or not.

she beat the top UFC fighters, not the best girls in the world. I'm an MMA fan. When Cyborg was at 145 in Strikeforce and knocked out the Asian girl in the first round, Rousey was ringside and was slated to be her next opponent. Rousey then went down to 135(Rousey also fought at 154 in the olympics) and avoided Cyborg. Dana white refused to sign Cyborg and said the fight would only happen at 135, knowing Cyborg couldn't make the weight. This was the time in which there was only 1 female weight class in the UFC because Dana White publicly said he'd never sign any female fighters. So yes, her competition was trash. The best opponent she faced was Meisha Tate. I guess you can name Zingano(who had a win over Nunes) but other than that, who else? Carmouche? She's not very good either.. Dana white just promoted her well and controlled her opposition because he made money the more invincible she looked. That led to movie roles(in which he saw his share) , video games, and other things, like the Reebok deal that jerked the fighters in the long run. So no, Rousey wasn't that good either, she just had a handler to control her opponents, and he dropped the ball by putting her in the ring with Holm because Holm had looked average in her previous MMA fights and should have lost the decision to Pennington prior to the Rousey fight. I'm a big Holly Holm fan btw. I will not tolerate any disrespect towards her. Been a fan since her boxing days and recording her fights on ESPN 2 (see my avatar)

This is some petty whatever-ish sh^t, but if the UFC doesn't got the best fighters in the world who does? Yea sure there are some girls (or men) over here & over there, but there is no where with P4P the most top fighters in any division than the UFC has. Thats just the reality I know some folks hate to admit. At best in other leagues you might fight Cyborg or Harrison, but then you got 5 awful girls that are their top girls so its trash ass competition overall. The UFC gots a murderers row in any division compared to any other league. This is a lame ass argument to be having & it might not be true forever or soon, but its been true for quite awhile, since Pride died for sure, & it is also the reality as well.

Critiquing female MMA resumes is a bridge I ain't crossing lmfao. But lets be fooking real all these Cyborg's & Harrison's in non-UFC divisions got trash ass resumes, usually outside of the time they are in the UFC if they've been there or get there, cuz they spent so much time in these trash ass leagues fighting girls who aren't even top 5 in the UFC probably & thats partially how they got their hype going. Maybe Harrison will be something different idk, but if you fight in a B league & crush 20 female cans you can probably make some bank like taking a big guy in the 90's in boxing & building him up vs 20 bs opponents for a 6 digit payday where he gets KO'd 1 while looking like a child getting beaten up by his daddy. Idk that that means you are the best. The best go to the UFC more often than not & there is a reason for that...and its not the pay I'm guessing.

They didn’t have all of the best. U didn’t even read the most important thing in my post. The UFC had ONE FEMALE DIVISION fir a while because Dana white said he’d never sign females. Face it, rousey was garbage. And once those 2 azz whippings occurred and the comp came in, she retired. The same with Laila Ali. She ducked 3 fighters trying to get fights with her. retired quickly just to say “I retired undefeated “. Never liked Laila Ali.
