How Much Has Deontay Learned Between Then & Now

By the time D fights again he’ll have had 18 months minimum to learn new things

D did mention on a broadcast about always looking to learn and improve

      - -I heared a competent woodworker filled in the dent in his noggin with quality silly putty and that he now knows the difference between one and two peanuts.

I think the question should be "How much can Deontay Wilder possibly learn between now and then"

especially since it looks like he's doing all of his training in the living room of an apartment.

            Nothing.

he’s nearly 36, he won’t get any better

of course he knows how to look ok on a static pair of pads, he’s an Olympian boxer and former world champ. Doing it in the ring against a more skilled fighter is another thing.

Too late. He had the option of developing, changing up his trainers, and taking fights that would test him. Instead he fell for the comfortable position of being surrounded by yes men.

He can improve a bit, but it's not a good idea for such a limited fighter to decide to learn to box and then test it out for the first time against a guy who is levels above him. He'd be better off doubling down on what he's good at - go in and try to take Fury's scone off in the first round.

With my usually caveat - if the fight even happens.

He has learned, hopefully, that legs are an important component of the process of punching. No legs, no punching.
