Not happening Frank; You are playing a very high stakes game of poker here and have just fucked up. You've gambled and lost. Tyson Fury loses to Deontay Wilder in the trilogy. Now what will your plans be for Tyson then?

No big issue with rematch clauses. Problem is “immediate rematch clauses”. Champ should have some gravitas. A one fight homecoming. As long is it’s not a total stiff. That’s also part of sport history.

Do you think Joshua would have got a Ruiz rematch if not for the clause? The rematch clause for Usyk will be one way, only if Joshua loses. The challenger doesn't have to accept it they can go to purse bid instead. They usually do to get the bigger split though.
f so then forget about Fury v Joshua. Then there's business of WBAs mandatory and Ibf and WBC mandatories. These rematch clauses need to stop. Even Fury v Joshua has a 2 fight deal, so Joyce can kiss his opportunity until end of 2023 by then his 36 years old. This is not for the best interest of the sport but a few fighters in the game.

They are FAR more obsessed with Hearn than the Robbie Barretts and Sid-knees who support him.
personally I don’t like Hearn. He’s so damn full of himself and he seems slippery and untrustworthy to me. But I don’t spend time and energy getting mad at him.
the post I originally responded to stated this whole situation with Fury and Wilder was Hearn’s fault. Even though he had no part whatsoever in the Fury Wilder deal. Because Hearn himself has used rematch clauses. It’s like Hearn screwed his wife or something, how obsessed can you be? Honestly it’s boring af
you yourself couldn’t resist the urge to say “Eddie Hearn looks like the biggest fool on earth... blah blah blah”. Dude, you don’t need to twist every situation to be about Eddie Hearn. Relax.
maybe people are just choosing to direct their frustrations with boxing generally at Hearn or whatever. Personally I feel kind of done with the sport. It’s a mess run by a bunch of incredibly shady individuals. It’s also facing a serious crisis in that Jake Paul can make more money fighting nobodies than top level fighters (who, let’s be honest, are also fighting nobodies 99 times out of 100). I really can’t see the situation improving anytime soon.
are about him. Oh and by the way, I’m very relaxed.

Some of the comments here sound like they come from Eddie himself.
While it's team fury's fault, I believe Hearn's aware that you can't walk away from a rematch clause set up by shelly finkel and Al hamon. Gimme a break.
I also don't believe he worked oh so hard.
I don't believe his announcements were in good faith because fury had not signed.
And I certainly do not believe AJ is Eddie's boss.
Watch AJ try to break his match room contract and see what would happen.Oldskoolg likes this.

To try to outbox Fury would be foolish, so his best bet would be to swing that right hand wildly again and hope a few big ones catch Fury. Wilder has no other way to win.
