Won’t see many top HWs pushing for an Ortiz fight. Too risky, not a ticket seller cuz casuals saw him lose 2x to Wilder. PBC will have to bribe him into an eliminator

I'm not really getting the Arreola vs Ruiz was close, angle. Just because Arreola was crying about the scores doesn't mean they were wrong. He won 3 rounds tops, which is 116-111 with the knockdown, I think I gave him two rounds, 117-110. It was competitive to an extent, but not close. The knockdown makes it seem there was more drama than there actually was.

He was offered $5 million for Joshua if I remember correctly. It might have been $6 million.

He took home $7 million for the Wilder rematch according to Forbes and ESPN.

No one knows what his purse split for the Wilder rematch was. Perhaps The Nevada State Athletic Commission have a record of it or something but we simply do not know.
Deontay Wilder is set for a strong payday for his rematch with Luis Ortiz. Here's a breakdown of the purse for the fight, including how much each fighter is expected to make.

Fans dismissing Ortiz as over the hill... yet a bunch of top HWs are almost desperately avoiding him. He'd embarrass ruiz... and that's why we fans haven't seen Ortiz/ruiz in the ring together. There's a reason why ruiz is 2nd tier... and it's because he had no clue how to handle himself in the big spotlight. Ortiz would do well vs Whyte, Ruiz, Hunter, Parker, Dubois, Usyk. Here he is, family man, trying to feed and clothe his family... and can't get a decent fight. Not a good look for the sport.

If Ortiz had the titles and AJ didn't, Andy would be ''ready'' for him.

Everyone is ready to fight a champ.

From what I saw, Hearn's initial offer was $6 million and ultimately raised to $7 million (Sports Joe website). Forbes listed Ortiz purse against Wilder as $1.5 million but it was also listed $7 million guaranteed (Bad Left Hook).

So they were essentially even offers as far as money was concerned but we don't know what else was offered to sweeten the pot. Regardless, Ortiz made his decision. What I don't understand is why he hasn't had a relevant fight since Wilder sparked him a 2nd time.
