were talking about Joshua not others and were talking about him having a small amateur career and relative short pro career...I just proved to you that Lennox never reached his optimum best till 35 and had all his best wins at 34 upwards...your saying Joshua has reached his best I say he hasn’t and will improve over the next 3 years...I didn’t say all heavyweights I said Joshua as he has less mileage on his clock and is still fresh...The last two undisputed heavyweight champions of the world reached there prime years at 35 and were having there most career defining performances ...Lewis destroying Rahman ,schooling tua etc and klitchcko with povetkin and pulev and that says it all...,I’m not taking fighters 50 years ago or more because it was a different era , had 3 or fights a year...15 rounders etc....so again you don’t know what your talking about...fighters reach there prime at various ages ...Mike Tyson reached his at 22 lol...so what is your excuse for that

Why are we talking primes now the debate was peaks, there is a big difference. And we're suddenly talking just Joshua now so why bring others up into it?
Different eras? There is about a good 30 odd different belt holders since 2000 - Most of which were retired or shot to bits by 35.

Lewis would almost always beat those sort of guys even when past his best. Bigger, longer & frankly a hell of a lot better boxer. Lewis doesn't have to be at his peak or particularly close to beat 5'10 David Tua, a totally washed up Tyson or a bum like Michael Grant.

Why is a fighter always deemed at his peak or best because of name value of opposition? Like you say yourself Tyson was in his prime in his early 20s, he might not even have peaked, a 35yr old (supposedly when modern HWs peak according to earlier) version was shot to absolute pieces.

Beating Pulev means nothing especially in the grand scheme, he isn't one of Wladimirs best wins, not even close and I love Wlad but his resume is kind of weak. Still Pulev isn't one of his best wins. Pulev doesn't hang with any true top HW.

Just about every man hits their prime in their early to mid twenties and it tapers off towards 30.

Its why all these footballers are considerably slower by their mid thirties and most are retired around 32-34. Granted some will go on and yes some elite talents will find success but they still aren't the players they were a few years prior at least not as far as speed, agility, stamina etc goes

Its the same with boxing, sprinters, long distance runners, Rugby players, you name it.

heavyweights to a certain degree do not need to have the intense reflexes of a lightweight or welterweight as they enter in to the mid 30’s.
do you actually know anything about boxing and the history or you just popped your head out the womb ?

Heavyweights peak later in terms of skill but the other poster is right too in terms of raw physical abilities as nobody at 35 can be faster than they were at 25 if there fitness levels are the same at the two ages unless you SAFP...

              This!

I got AJ winning by stoppage, BUT even IF Usyk pulls the boxing clinic rabbit out his hat, he will not win a Decision.

Thats why im saying: You CANNOT beat any of the top guys on points if you arent the cashcow. You gotta have power, you gotta be able to knock someone out, judges in boxing are always crooked when it comes to the money guys.

Fury should have a loss on his record already from Otto Wallin, if it was some regular joe fightin in there, the fight woulda been stopped. But cause its Fury, and the Wilder fight was coming up they let it continue

Only way Usyk wins is if AJ is hit by a meteorite at the same time Usyk throws a punch.

Joshua will win relatively easy and by stoppage.

                    Bookmarked.

It’s going to be revisited after Usyk gets sparked and people go back to claiming AJ isn’t the best in the division by a mile.
