He’s #11 on Boxrec, and isn’t top 10 with TBRB. He’s hardly a universally recognised top 10 guy at 140.

Do you think he deserves credit? Do you think this is a tough fight for him?

I was surprised he made the weight myself.

will be hard to stay there once he starts eating prison food after his stint for that dui crash . Lol

Not particularly but Larry is touching on a point.

when some guys move up like this, they get credit just for moving up. With certain guys, usually the Haymon guys, moving up isn’t enough. You have to move up and fight the best guy at the weight to get any credit.

let’s just keep it real- if Loma was fighting at 140 it could be against anyone and he’d get full credit. Same with Teo.

I was too but I actually thought he looked in great shape, it showed too cause he looked really sharp vs LSC. I think his long term future is at 135 though, I’d be surprised if he ever went back down to 130.

He is top 10 according to Ring...that is what people used to justify GGG's last opponent...just using the same here

Tanks problem isn’t talent or skill. It’s out the ring. He’s the kind of dude who would always show up against a list, big names in shape and ready to go.

it’s when he has what should be an easy defense where I worry he will not take it seriously, hang out with Broner and get clipped.

I don’t think they would, people sh** all over Canelo fighting Fielding for example. The fact Tank is with PBC has no bearing on whether he deserves credit or not.

Loma came from 126 so it’s the equivalent of him fighting at 135, where he fought Linares in his first fight who was universally ranked top 2 at 135 when Loma fought him. I don’t think Loma ever fights above 135 anyway tbh, he’s too small.

I’d fully expect that if Teofimo faced Barrios in his first fight at 140, people would sh** on that too, I would.

I’m a Tank fan but this is a poor fight, I expect him to walk through Barrios.

So you think GGG deserves credit for beating Szeremeta too?

                    That was another trash fight.

the problem is that nobody was asking for this fight, its like him and his fans are begging for some credit now just because he moves up in weight, why wasting fan's time and money (PPV) when you would get way more credit for fighting your mando in Cris Colbert for example or some other top fighters from lower weights (Valdez, Stevenson, Haney, Lopez, Loma)
