Being that he's gotten success at 135 I don't see this as him jumping two divisions. He was #1 or among the top guys at 135 to most everyone. He dropped a division to fight LSC at 130. He's adding 5lbs to fight Barrios now more than he's adding 10lbs. Or for Tank he's cutting less weight more than any of those other scenarios.

That said I think anyone deserves credit for having success in higher weight divisions, but honestly with what I feel Tank is capable of vs what he's doing by taking on the least of the title holders at 140 I can't say I'm very hyped up for this alleged test. I'd much rather see Tank fight a Regis or Zepeda for no belt or if they weren't fighting each other this weekend Taylor or JCR than Mario Barrios.

I think Tank is gonna KO Barrios & this is gonna be a pretty ho hum fight. Then again if Tank fooks off &/or loses focus on the plan who knows. Tank's biggest competition for the next year or two, between likely opponents & the opponents Floyd/Ellerbe will let him fight, is Tank.

No because he really should be fighting at 140 already. He’s the biggest weight bully in the sport. Him and Erroll and Benavidez

          Fielding.

Tank deserves credit if he can pull it off.

Dude this is just unfair. If he can make 130 or 135 that isn’t weight bullying. Stop arbitrarily making up fake criteria to discredit guys you don’t like.

And he won a belt there & he's been considered top guy by most every pundit/indie ranking (or he was before he went back down to 130 since most won't rank a guy in 2 divisions).

If he beats Barrios at 140 & is consider a top ten guy + a title holder there, but he goes back down to defend his 130 belt is he jumping 3 divisions if he then goes up to fight a top 147lber?

Shane Mosley jumped two divisions back in the day (135 to 147). Tank is not jumping two divisions (130 to 140 while owning a belt at 135).

It’s impressive but not necessary. He’s a really short guy, we might get another Broner situation.

I actually thought he looked OK on the scales vs LSC, certainly didn’t look badly drained IMO. If he stays disciplined I think he could continue making 130.
