im a tank fan...and ill admit...his resume/career leaves more to be desired....but lets be honest...this is boxingscene forums..he wont get credit for anything...ever.....he could do something similar to what floyd did(he prob wont) and he still wouldnt

davis a flawed "man" no doubt....but as a fighter, at 26, hes not much different from most of the celebrated p4p fighters at the same age....and he has time and room to grow...but some wont let him...no matter what he does.....itll never be enough to most.....

Gets credit from me, I know there's reports of him struggling with weight in the past but he managed just fine at 130 against LSC and Barrios is a big boy at 140 and he can **** some. So props to the kid for that, however Barrios is not really that good or proven despite his Ring ranking... he was really quite fortunate to get the nod over Akhmedov even with the 2 KDs and if Akhmedov can land at will then so can Tank, cept Tank can land with light outs power.

Still jumping up two divisions is always something and it's not like Mario is some dude off the street - even if he ain't elite he's a decent fighter. Nothing wrong with this fight.

Yes facts are facts. If you can make the weight that isn't weight bullying.

you know somebody with a name already, not a low rate 140 pounder
And most think he lost that fight

To me it’s a calculated risk along the lines of when Adrien Broner fought Paulie Malignaggi, or when Canelo fought Sergei Kovalev.

Barrios is viewed as an opponent good enough to go rounds but not good enough to win. With that said, I would consider it a decent win for Tank, nothing more and nothing less.

I've heard folks claim Tank wanted to go to 140, but idk that I buy that either. I wouldn't be shocked if he wasn't aware there was a 140lb division til this next fight got made. He seems that oblivious to all things professional boxing to me. For sure he couldn't name the weight limits for at least 10 of the 17 weight divisions in pro boxing without getting in lotsa wrong guesses.
I actually like Tank's talent, but yeah none of the top guys in any division seem too keen on fighting each other. Save for a few exceptions
