Exactly, plus who will pay his medical bills once he retires.. (dont think he lives in a country with universal health care)
Boxers are capitalists just like the rest of us, why expect them to sacrifice a big payday for the sport? Would the sport make the same sacrifice for them?

Fury gets praised for ducking and going to a platform for money so why not Hunter?

I just wish I didn't have to watch Triller to watch him fight

That's how it reads to me. I understand that this is a business after all, it is the guys job and most of us usually want the best pay for our services etc, but still. There is a strong sense of someone not willing to bet on himself or his own abilities to win a fight that would have surely put him in a pretty good place "reward" wise down the road. It is fine to make that decision, nothing new to see here, and maybe little to see of Hunter down the road now. .

He'll be earning decent now. Eddie Hearn let him go after drawing with Povetkin and now he has a multi fight deal with Triller.

What is there to explain it's about the money. Seems clear he was screwed with a purse bid and was upset he was going to be paid very little. Triller came in and are paying him more. Wilson is ranked by the WBA and they have already ordered it as a WBA title Eliminator. According to his tweet below it's not just a one off fight it's a multi fight deal and he will still be in line for a title shot if he wins it will just be for a WBA title instead of the IBF.

Not mad at this at all. Boxingx is a very unforgiving sport. Get paid while you can.
