The key is if the contract says Fury has to fight Wilder next - or it just says he has to fight Wilder by September 15. No way is Fury going to pass up all the AJ money unless he is stripped before the AJ fight and no unification takes place. If I had to guess, the AJ fight is going through as planned. Be interesting to see how everything turns out, one way or another. And then there is the strong possibility that Fury loses to AJ if that fight is next.Last edited by richardt; 05-17-2021, 11:39 PM.Comment

Why would wilder want this again? He got out boxed in the 1st fight and beat up and stopped in the 2nd fight. What's next, another dent in the head, and death?Comment

Now why on earth will he do that? Chances are if Anthony Joshua wins against Tyson Fury; Then Deontay Wilder may never see his WBC Heavyweight title again. If Anthony Joshua wins then he owes Deontay Wilder nothing. That step aside money is only good if Tyson Fury wins. This arbitration case does not involve Anthony Joshua but Tyson Fury. Also, It's a known fact, that Tyson Fury is a known liar, cheat and a thief. So Deontay wilder cannot afford to wait or he just might get burned again.

Can everyone stop the damn blame game? and can everyone stop trying to predict impossible predictions? the people that look the dummest are those that said this fight between Fury and Joshua was going to happen... absolutely. it still might happen by the way, we have not heard from Wilder have we? Arum could be posturing here...
NOBODY is at fault! Every party is negotiating with their own interests being primary. NOBODY here LOOKED at Wilder and Fury's contract... did they? Do we know WHY arbitration ruled the way it did? Do we know the stipulations in that contract? NO...
Arbitration is: the agreement of parties to accept a ruling, by a third party, it is not a determinant of compensation, etc. Arbitration had to look at the Fury Wilder contract and determine whether there was a reason for not having a third fight that did not violate the contract.
Arum is going to posture and make Wilder come to him... And in the meantime, all parties are trying to do what is in their best interest! Fury did tell people this fight might not happen, actually... what he said was, "fighting Joshua might be a long way off." The fight could happen around christmas, or so... BUT WHO KNOWS?
Arum is also not to be believed because, he probably had some understanding that this might occur.

I'd like to lay the blame completely at Fury;s clown feet but I can't.
Didn't Wilder have an injury (not sure if this happened during the Scamdemic or before)
And then the Scamdemic reset everything. Promoters wanted capitalize as much as they can $$$$ so THEY kept pushing it.
I kinda blame Fury because he had no intentions of honoring the contract. He would have found a way out of it.
Saying he wasn't going to sit on his ass and wait for Wilder.....and yet, here we areComment

Trust me guys, Fury and his team always knew they were going to fight Wilder. This was all a ploy to waste Hearn and AJ’s time. Remember Hearn saying he was doing all the work. Well that’s because Fury and his team always knew they would be fighting Wilder and they just love it when Eddie is running around, wasting his time. Bob always wanted the trilogy in Vegas with a large crowd at the new stadium and they used AJ Fury talk to drum up interest in a third fight.
Think about it properly people. Fury is in America training. Why would he be training in the US if the fight was in Saudi where the time difference is like +8 hours if you are in the east coast? Deontay Wilder has started training camp. He must have known he was getting his trilogy fight. Something tells me all parties from Fury’s (Arum, Warren & Fury) to Wilder’s knew they were going to have a trilogy fight all along. The whole contract expired talk and negotiating an undisputed fight was to use it to build up a trilogy fight with wilder. These guys knew all along since the start of the year that undisputed wasn’t next.
Eddie looks like a real fool who’s been played badly. The Saudis must be pissed with him for wasting their time. Why negotiate a deal with a guy who’s got a court case? AJ could have fought Usyk already. Bob, Frank and Haymon were all in this together IMHO and they have pulled a good one on Hearn.Comment
