If they consider themselves (Fury and Joshua) the best HWs out there then there is nothing that can prevent them from fighting each other later this year, just get rid of those hurdles we've been talking about for the last year, Fury-Wilder3 and Joshua-Usyk must be done this summer

I won't be surprised if the "making of the fight" turns out to be more interesting than the fight itself. Anyway, I think the right thing was done and I would like to see Wilder-Fury in July/Aug followed by winner vs Joshua in Nov/Dec. In the meanwhile, Joshua fights Usyk, and Whyte fights Ortiz/Ruiz for mandatory. I am OK with that, in fact, I like that even more.
Somehow, I feel Arum and Fury (and even Joshua/Hearn) knew this all along. They too have lawyers who would make a fair judgement looking at past precedents. Force Majeure is a thing with a purpose. The legality would have been judged by whether team Wilder wanted the fight and who exactly prevented it from happening and what was Team Fury response during those discussions.
Arum probably was expecting it that is why he was critical of Hearns and not actively participating. Fury too knew it and that is why he wanted to show that he actually wants the fight. The financers must have been waiting for clarity of the situation and Hearns knowingly kept delaying the announcement. No business deals are made under uncertain conditions. But whatever the outcome, both Hearns/Joshua and Arum/Warren/Fury got free airtime and promotion due to this.

“It’s one thing to bring a claim and it’s a second thing to be successful. I believe that Wilder has no rights any longer for a third fight and therefore his claim will be denied. But I can’t stop them from thinking otherwise and taking it to litigation.
“The contract says Wilder’s rights ran out at the end of October and I really believe that contract displays clearly that Wilder does not have a claim for a third fight. Wilder had some surgery but that was taken care of in the contract, a 90-day delay from the date of the proposed rematch in July – and that has ran out.

Can we just call a spade a spade, he completely ballsed up his judgment then tried to shift the blame.

However, Fury's American promoter, Bob Arum, said he would abide by the arbitrator's ruling.
"We're not paying Wilder to step aside," Arum told ESPN on Monday. "It's better to get rid of him and go about our business. We can make the Fury-Joshua fight for November or December."
Arum noted that Top Rank has reserved Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for a Fury-Wilder fight July 24.

But I'd imagine Joshua can still get the winner of the trilogy later this year, should he beat Usyk.
OR maybe the winner of Joshua/Fury guarantee Wilder a shot next and give him some step aside money?
the step aside money would be far too much as well, aj and fury had rematch clauses too, so no way wilder sits for 2 fights out waiting that long imo
I can’t imagine Joshua paying wilder a dime considering what wilder said about Joshua nor fury
problem is wilder burned his bridges by lying about the Joshua negotiations to cause reputation harm which has annoyed Joshua and did the same to fury about cheating causing the same reputation damage. Wilder is a bit of a nut case and will demand the fight
joshua will beat usyk, the guy has little power at heavyweight and is there to be hit imo
I’m surprised at arum, he was a lawyer, he should have known wilder would win, he has wasted so much time, wilder and fury could have fought 4-5 months ago
no way does Saudi pay wilder to fight there with big money which I’m sure he will ask for. The world wants Joshua vs fury and now we have wilder being a nuisance but it is his right to do so at the end of the day
I think we have lost our undisputed fight imo Unless Joshua can get a couple of fights in this year to deal with them, he needs to get usyk made for August end then another in Dec before hopefully fighting fury next year

In the meanwhile, Joshua should fight Usyk and Whyte vs Ortiz/Ruiz for the mandatory position. Would be great 6-7 months of HW boxing.
The fight goes ahead in Saudi.
