Canelo's deal was $365 for 11 fights. In other words, you could divide it up as $33m per fight, though I doubt it was structure that way.

I've read estimates for the Saunders fight as being $35million for Canelo and $8 million for Saunders.

    In other words...

So what you are saying? That you are willing to pay Caleb Plant $20M against Canelo; Because this fight would not come cheaply for the live streaming App if Plant is forced to fight it on DAZN?

I am sorry Eddie but I think DAZN is going to have to pass on this one boss. There's no damn way they are paying Caleb Plant between $12-20M to fight Canelo.

Do you know if those 35M were guaranteed like the original contract or conditioned on meeting a certain threshold i.e. subscriptions sold? That's the only way it makes sense for DAZN, less risk upfront and have Canelo sell the fight to maximize his earning potential.

All the PB CRAPPY C has to do is make their offer. If its real big and DAZN don't want to compete then fair enough. But if DAZN put the best bid forward the PBC will have Plant make some crappy excuses and walk away from it. Only way this fight is happening is on FOX or Showtime.

He's definitely in a position to negotiate. He gots the last belt that Canelo wants. And if DAZN is down to make a "major play" for the fight that gives him even more leverage.

That said who gives a fook. Canelo is gonna get paid. Caleb is gonna get paid. And most of us hardcore fans are gonna put our $100/year to DAZN or $80 to watch the PPV towards this fight regardless of what the fighters make or don't make.

Some people appear to live in an alternate universe.
After the issues between Canelo, GBP and dazn, Canelo could have gone anywhere, he went with dazn and Hearn and said he is very happy, just set a boxing attendance record in a show that is universal being applauded.

Canelo and Hearn have said the Plant fight can go wherever the best offer is. That is how boxing should be, Plant has said similar.

You are a very wise boxing fan Neut. Plant has Canelo by the balls. He has something that the DAZN doesn't have and that is the IBF Super middleweight title belt. So if DAZN was smart they wouldn't bother to pull out their checkbook for this fight because it's not money that Canelo wants

Well I suppose Canelo can do an Anthony Joshua, make fair and sensible offers and if the PBC clone doesn't play game Canelo can wait for the protected PBC fraud to make a mistake and pick the wrong cherry and then Canelo can fight that new champion instead while Plant babbles to some dumb racists on YouTube.
