TWENTY ONE pro fights... THATS IT.... Andre Berto has 4 more fights right now than Roy did...

And like I said, Bernard didnt lose for TWELVE YEARS after Roy beat him... he lost DECISEVELY to Roy, and then he went on to win for 12 years... so Bernard was green, but he was still a DAMN GOOD, PROVEN, TECHNICAL fighter... who became the IBF champ only one year after that fight.

The point is MOOT, to argue who was MORE green is absolutely ridiculous... roy was 21-0, and Bernard was something like 23-1... Roy won, lets move on.
I agree that both were a bit green, but clearly jones was more experienced despite their PRO records being similar. There is a reason why Rigondeaux is planning on having a title shot at pro fight #7 and why others guys wouldn't dream of doing that, and obvioulsy that's because of his amazing amateur record and the skills he already developed. Jones already developed those skills, while he did get better, he was already a complete fighter. Hopkins wasn't there yet, he never saw the bright lights before until he faced Jones, Jones was used to being in the spotlight.

****, Hopkins took time to grow, I mean he did struggle against Segundo Mercado over a year later after he fought jones.

It is a silly thing to argue though, who was more greener, lol, I'm just sayin having a great amateur background, fighting in the Olympics, etc definitely is an advantage and prepares you for the pros.

A shot fighter wouldn't have beaten, trinidad, sheika, and Lacy. Jones is definitely faded but, not shot. You guys really do throw the word around way too much. Hector Camacho Sr is shot, Fernando Vargas is shot, these are shot fighters.

This sounds to me that jones wants $$$$..He is trying to coherse bhop to a fight..hey I would love to see this as much as any hopkins/jones fan...but no way is jones even on the level anymore..bhop would probably ko jones at this point of his career..so whatever I just think jones wants a decent payday..nothing against jones just my Opinion.

Exactly. And a KO win over Roy @ this point in his career does nothing for him. He wants Adamek, or Dawson. ROY NEEDS TO QUIT!!!

Still Roy has a good point in that if Hopkins think so little of Roy's ability at this point and is so confident of beating him, then why not take the all or nothing deal beat up Roy since he is so far above him now and take all of the money? Roy is willing to do it.
