BoxingScene.com was advised that a planned doubleheader is not taking shape as expected. HBO would like to put together a welterweight doubleheader on December 26. In the main event, Shane Mosley would defend his WBA "super" welterweight title against the probable challenger Joshua Clottey. As the co-feature, the network wanted an unification bout between WBC champion Andre Berto and IBF champion Isaac Hlatshwayo. I want these fights to take place but berto needs to man up because after his last performance he lost alot of fans so he nedds to take the money.

Bingo. They overpay everybody though, so when you do that, you cant expect someone to take less, especially if theyve been winning.

He hasn't been offered $750,000. The article says that HBO only offered $750,000 as full payment for Berto-Hlatshwayo, i.e. to be split between the two fighters. That's a pretty poor offer for two title holders.

But when you factor all the lackluster viewership Berto has generated and his less than appealing appearances than you should understand HBOs hesitance to put up 3+ mil. I mean I bet their suits are saying the same thing as most folks...Issac who?
