I didn't even think of it like that. If HBO puts up $750,000
I'm more than sure that Hlatshwayo would not get half.
Berto could potentially get $500,000 if not more because
Hlatshwayo people will just want the opportunity. Berto
definitely don't deserve a Mil. Berto is a hype job. He
has talent but I think he doesn't have the best trainer
and coaches. With all that raw talent that he has he
should be putting on better performances at this stage
because he can't just keep depending on his speed, he
doesn't have any technique, loads up on every punch
and gasses in the later rounds. I think at 147 Berto
would get beat by all the top WW's Mosley/Cotto/Clottey.

The smoke cleared cause he got knocked down? You must have very high standards if you are calling out fighters for being exposed because they got knocked down ONCE in their careers.

Mosley is the best in the division and I don't want to sit through another one of Berto's boring ass sparring sessions while I'm waiting for the main event to come on between Clottey and Mosley. And to me it is better to have two useless title holders than a useless unified title holder. That would give Berto an incentive to price himself out of fights even further. Hlatshwayo got a belt he didn't deserve because he didn't fight Clottey for it anyway.

When you stop to think about it, Mosley should have the IBF belt because Margarito had to give it up to a guy he had already beat in Clottey in order to make the Cotto fight happen. So after Margarito beat Cotto, he would've went into the fight with Mosley as being unified, and in turn Mosley would have the WBA and IBF belts around his waist. And most importantly, he would be the #1 fighter in the division holding them.
So let these guys fight. Then the winner fights Mosley and he has a chance to get the belt back and all your problems are solved.

Berto is getting too big in his head hanging out with celebrity's, the truth is HBO is at fault here for inflating him while giving him mostly no-hopers. I"m a fan of Berto but this **** looks real weak, not wanting to make wait during Christmas time is soft as ****.

This is a really bad sign from Berto. Somebody needs to remind him that has yet to prove himself elite, and he doesnt have a solid fan base yet. Seems like he already thinks hes a rock star, and that is going to cost him dearly when he has to fight an elite WW.
If he was smart and more humble he would take this fight and try to make an impression. He has the undefeated record, adding another belt and more exposure would pay off in the future. I hope he wises up and realizes where he is really at.

Its not that simple. We are talking about a unification on HBO. Exposure, hardware, political capitol, future pay days. Sure its not a walk in the park fight for huge money, but if he is what he thinks he is its a very winnable fight that would lead to more leverage in future negotiations.

who gives a **** about this clown. will anyone else give berto 400k to fight hlatschwayo? no way! why would hbo bid against themselves. make berto fight somewhere else for much less and he will come crying back to hbo and call them daddy.

does anyone care about berto-hlatschwayo anyway i mean it's watchable but nothing to get excited about. hlatschwayo had a draw and a controversial win over delvin rodriguez. not exactly top notch. but he did beat nate "spotty" campbell just like to rub that in.
