The fight is there to be made, it could be made today 'It could be made within hours'.

People are just being subjective on this thread 'When in reality they need to be honest with themselves'.

Tyson Fury probably does not want a two fight deal, as he will bounce if he beats Joshua.

Well what is taking team Fury so long to just sign off the fight? They have venues, they have site fees, they have a giant purse, what exactly is the issue mate?
From what they're saying, they're waiting for an actual binding agreement to sign.

The things you mention are tentatively in place (exept the venue, which still has to be built reportedly), but the paperwork they have been given amounts to little more than an information pack. Until it's binding, none of it is legally enforceable and they are therefore not signing up to anything.

Eddie does seem to be doing all the deal making, but you can't at this stage complain about what is taking Team Fury so long -- they have agreed in principle on the deal, but as Arum and Warren have said, they are waiting on the final contract.

Ive not seen a fight fall through at this stage before, says promoter Eddie Hearn about Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury - watch Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker and Katie Taylor vs Natasha Jonas on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office

Hearn is waiting for the ink to dry.

Wilder is waiting to see if he needs to run away and hide in the swamp again.

Hearn is the deal maker here. They offered Wilder $100 million guaranteed but they didn’t want it. Got AJ a huge purse for the Ruiz rematch in Saudi Arabia and has the connections to get this done.
Arum just needs to STFU and cash that check.
Hearn didn't offer ****. He wasn't involved in the DAZN negotiations with Wildee and himself said he wasn't in the room. Why is it Hearniacs always turn out to know nothing about what they're talking about?

At this point the fans don't know what to believe. Very unprofessional, imo.
Eddie has been managing expectations by giving details on his estimated timetable for different steps to getting the fight done and , yes, those estimates have been repeatedly optimistic. It cuts both ways. You make the valid point that he risks undermining confidence in what he is saying. At the same time, he keeps fans in the loop and lets people know that wheels are turning.

If he had kept quiet the last few months, the assumption would be that nothing is happening and everyone would be bitching about that just as much.

Why didn’t Fury say Hearn was lying when they met last weekend ? I have a feeling you Fury fanatics are afraid of the fight happening. Kafkod seems to be the only Fury fan on here with sense around here .

He's already undrmined confidence. Do any of you worked in any kind of professional capacity...like ever? You can't just keep promising to meet a deadline "in two weeks" for three months.

This is NOT keeping people in the loop. Telling your stakeholders that completion on a project is approaching soon only to come out and say that's its completed but "in need of an agreed location" in order for it to be "fully" complete is the height of unprofessionalism.

I don't like Fury, you idiot. I think he's just as full of ****. But he hasn't been the one claiming this fight is "a few weeks away" since January.

Fury also claimed no deal was being made with the Saudis then a few days later said the opposite . Furys not a promoter why would he be claiming anything while Wilders arbitration was going on in the beginning stages and deciding wheather or not to take a Kabayel fight to keep busy not long before that ?

Thats the point... People are ridiculous talking about what Arum and Warren should be doing, how naive lol. The scale and money involved with this, at this time & place is unrealistic. hearns is trying an angle, and I am glad he is trying to do so, but its incredibly tough to get a fight like this, cash in escrow, contract signed. this is what more level headed people have been saying. Arum most certainly would make this fight if he could...

It is Hearn's interest to try... and he has to have momentum and so, he will paint a rosy picture. Its to be expected IMO.
