You're trying to discredit Haney because he just made Garcia and his promoter look like fools. You can't bare it so go on the attack.
A real fighter, whether they're a champ or not, should go after the best fights the fans want. I'm not into this game where the champ just sits back and does nothing. If they had any pride or sincerity, they would do everything to get the best fights out there.
Who becomes a mandatory for a title, but instead takes on a fight that has a lot less interest? Any fighter who becomes mandatory would do everything in their power to get their shot. But no, Garcia is going in another direction. A different direction because they see Haney as a threat. The only other fighter i remember doing this was Jermain Taylor when he became mandatory to Carl Froch's WBC SM title. Carl even had to go on the internet to insult Taylor trying to coax him into the fight. Taylor eventually took it, and the rest as they say, is history.
If Garcia could have secured either the Manny or Davis fight, i would have understood his decision. But he didn't, so Haney should have been his target.
