I’ve said it all along, the lighter he gets, the less power his punches will have. He generated very respectable power out of the leverage from his feet and body being so heavily planted on the ground. A lighter Ruiz is a very small HW, and I suspect we will see him out-land Arreola but not be powerful enough to get him out of there.Comment

"Slim" is obviously relative to his Mr. Stay Puft appearance against Joshua, but I'm rooting for him. His technique, hand/foot speed should benefit, the more weight he loses. For his sake, I hope he took the weight off in a gradual, healthy way. If he ends up at a "weight drained" 250 or so lbs, his stamina and punch resistance could fail him.Comment

Not understanding the fat shaming going on in this thread. Andy has clearly lost a huge amount of inches at his waistline, while only being about 12 pounds slimmer than his title winning weight. That's impressive. Means he put on some muscle. Very interested in seeing how he looks in the ring. Not excited about this fight bc it's PPV, but it's the right opponent for his first camp with Reynoso.Comment

It’s possible, he has been out since the end of 2019. That’s enough time for him to get into a programme like that to lose weight and build a bit of muscle. Without any fights scheduled, he can take whatever and clean it all out. How many times was this fight rescheduled? Like 3 times?Comment

He’s being fat shamed because he’s a professional athlete and therefore pathetic.
