Jake Paul deserves respect

He fought a Youtuber, a small NBA player and then specifically cherry picked the worst striker in UFC history so he could say he KO'd a UFC guy. He does have a bit of athleticism and natural ability but lets not get carried away.

Yes he is a Youtuber, but he is also a boxer.
He is a legitimate boxer. Lets stop referring to him like he is just your average content creator that dabbles a little in the sport or only trains when he has a fight lined up.

This, even when its typical for prospects to be carefully managed their first few years to rack up some wins and experience.... they still proved themselves in amateur tournaments.

Jake Paul has had 4 fights his entire life and every single one of them was against someone who never boxed before... ever. Every single one of them were significantly smaller than him. When he fought smaller guys of his own age, they were youtubers with less training time than him. When he fought former pro athletes they were both 10+ years older in their mid 30s.

Jake would get lit up if he entered an amateur tournament. He throws the same combinations over and over but it works when he fights inexperienced guys who will walk straight into them. He has trained for 3 years on how to throw some punches so he has a massive advantage over untrained smaller and older men he is fighting.

Could you imagine what would happen if Jake fought a cruiserweight in their 20s with a few pro fights and amateur experience? They would see him throwing the same overhand right all the time side step and counter him and it would be lights out when a guy his size lands on him.

The "real deal" and "ability to excel at boxing" lmao

He is 24, he isnt going anywhere. All the guys who "started late" all had an amateur background. The guys who had no amateur background when pro as teenagers and were fighting grown men.

How much experience does he really gain from fighting mid 30s retired basketball players who are 20 pounds lighter than him.

Prospects are fighting actual boxers. Hand selected sure but actual boxers. If Jake "could" beat them, then why after 3 years has he yet to fight one?

Charlie Zelenoff was a pro boxer too. As was Andrew Hartley. They will give a license to anyone who can pass a physical and that is the problem. Eventually someone will get hurt and the government will go after boxing as a sport not just "youtube boxers"

I agree that he's putting in work. But put him in a legit top 20 fighter in his weight class and he'd get destroyed. Especially in cruiser.
