You havent done any of these things bud. You've said something about Canelo doing big tv viewing figures in his home country, some Chinese guy doing big numbers in China and boxing doing better numbers in the UK ie one of the top boxing markets. Ive shown you PPV numbers that prove the UFC is something that people are paying high prices to watch on a far more consistent basis, and when you dismiss that as an America only thing ive shown you social media followings, Youtube views etc ie globally accessible sites that still clearly go in favour of MMA. Then you dismiss that as though nobody over the age of 18 knows how to use the ****ing internet.
You also dismiss logical common sense things like the significance of EA getting rid of the Fight Night games but making UFC games, excusing that as being solely a licence issue, even though EA is a ****ing massive company and some tiny developer and publisher are bringing out a boxing game soon with plenty of licenced fighters. And you dont take into account how seeing EA made UFC games on the shelf in stores next to NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB , FIFA etc helps exposure and lends to the perception of MMA being bigger.
Then theres the fact that MMA is relatively centralized into the UFC, the UFC name itself is a brand, it has video games, it has its own reality shows, it tours around the world extensively. Boxing in contrast is extremely fragmented and regional. Most people who arent boxing fans couldnt even name the promotions that boxers are fighting in. PBC, Matchroom, Top Rank etc have no real brand recognition, then it becomes even more of a cluster**** if you attempt to explain to someone the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF. Most people have a basic grasp of what the UFC is. Also with the fragmentation you can have casual boxing fans in say the UK who dont even follow anything that happens in America or anywhere else, and vice versa in America, again...regional. Whereas if you're an MMA fan anywhere in the world you are watching the UFC because its the NFL or NBA of its sport. Add all of this up and it clearly leads to the UFC being by far the biggest combat sports league in the world. And that platform is why it has bigger stars overall than boxing, why it does the bigger numbers online and its also why its a safe bet that on most weekends the UFC is getting a bigger global audience than any boxing card.
