    Why Is Shakur Stevenson Claiming He's Latino Now?

    I seen Shakur Stevenson making the rounds letting everyone know he is Puerto Rican, He has been in this sport on the main stage for years now and never once mentioned it but now all of a sudden he wants a Valdez fights and now claims he is Puerto Rican,,, for that Mexican vs Puerto Rican sell.

    I find it strange and how you think the puerto rican people will take it? A person who never claimed his was puerto rican until the moment he can get some benfit from it now he wants to be proud of his heritage.

                              That PR fanbase is one of the most loyal in boxing so he should be trying to parlay it into some fan momentum.
