I don't think latino is as exclusionary as you're making it seem. The way I've understood it is that Latino includes both Spanish and Portuguese speaking nations in the New World. Hispanics only includes Spanish speaking nations in the New World.

I know a lot were asking why now, like why didn’t he do it before etc.... I think it’s quite simple, he didn’t have a relationship with his biological father, until when he was a teenager.
