Y’all sound ****** and racist! Shakur been saying he was half Puerto Rican so because y’all now hearing it y’all mad? STFU. I’m half Dominican and black but I’m not going to go around explaining to everyone I’m half Dominican when I was raised by my mother who is black and Indian.

Literally known for years and most do too. I even remember hearing it during his Olympic run.

Probably more Rican than Danny Garcia who can’t speak a lick of Spanish to save his life.

John Ruiz as far as I know doesn't speak Spanish and he was considered a fake PR boxer.

LOL, a lot of people probably know this is true.

The kid is the potential best of the next generation or top3. I don't think PRs are complaining. I always thought it was his grandfather.

He probably could pick up the language faster than Danny, LOL

Is that right? That's fairly interesting, but isn't 'Hispanic' itself derived from colonialism? As in the island of 'Hispaniola' were Columbus landed, or the Dominican Republic now?

I mean even the Dominican Republic's name is colonial, with it deriving from European religion in the form Catholicism.

Either way, cheers for informing, and also, reminding me to start doing some reading on Bolivar, etc.

Yeah if I didn't know then I can see how it would look like a terrible Marketing Ploy which it is basically
Learning new **** every day on Boxing scene. Had no idea what 'Boricua' meant. Its the name of a user round here, and never thought to ask about its origin.

Will he become the greatest Puerto Rican fighter ever?

Nothing to do with the topic, but I am not very fond of Skakur Stevenson at all.

I am not bothered about his fights, and have never watched any of them.

Ever since I saw that video of him fighting in the street, in what looked to be a one sided beat down? I think fighters should conduct themselves differently.

Plenty of fighters get into fights outside the ring, but they are always in self defense or one on one fights. Or fights with other fighters etc.
