You guys are a trip. You say that Canelo isn't coming back but my question to that is; When did he ever leave? He is still working with the same company as Golden Boy; DAZN. Even after he sued and swore that he was leaving it.

The Hearn-Canelo relationship fits both their needs - for now. Hearn gets his overrated British super middleweight fighters title fights and keeps edging Canelo toward the third GGG fight that his paymaster, DAZN, wants. Canelo gets a promoter who will spend gobs of money stoking his ego with elaborate costly ring entrances and doesn’t get exposed as a poor pay-pay-view draw he would actually be - because of all of his fights will remain on DAZN, which doesn’t release streaming/subscriber figures.

To me it seems beyond obvious that the whole point of Canelo kickstarting the legal drama last year was so that he could finally jettison Oscar once and for all. Their relationship was always rocky and obviously Canelo A) had finally had enough of Oscar, who let's face it, isn't the paradigm of a competent promoter and B) Realised that he'd gotten big enough as a name in boxing that he no longer needed to shackle himself to a promoter at all, similar to Mayweather. Most of all, the aftermath is telling. Canelo sued Oscar and DAZN, but now that the dust has settled, he's once again working with DAZN, but not with Oscar. If Oscar can't figure out what that means then maybe he needs another stint in rehab.

not saying it couldnt happen.....but does anyone remember.....????

when floyd first bought out his contract with top rank and bob was very cordial and in an interview he even said "we havent ruled out working together in the future" and was basically thinking he was going to still use TR to promote his fights....but then floyd partnered with golden boy and used them instead? and then bob flipped out and started perpetuating the myth that floyd was ducking tony margarito and basically flipped out when floyds career really took off and became huge?

not exactly same situation as canelo is already pretty huge....but bob thought he was gonna work with floyd again too

Rather hear Oscar talk like that on the mic then what ? Complain and explain? Leave the door open Oscar knows that Saul is getting his money and waiting till the crowds are back before he takes a fight with a fighter who is a threat. Just treading water making money and killing time till he goes for the PPV deals then it is highest bidder most money situation. None of his fights are going to be viewed after the first run, but there are a lot of fighters out there making good fights in the ring. Don't mean Saul is not good just means he is not is any good fights for a few years now. your experience may differ that is fine too.

Oscar F’d that relationship up. If they work together on a fight Oscar will be dealing with Hearn or DAZN instead of Canelo directly.
Oscar’s BS he pulled with promising DAZN the GGG fight when Canelo had no obligation to do so messed up that deal and caused a riff that kept the cash cow on the shelf for a year. Was time for them to part ways.

Canelo is making less money now with Hearn than he was making with Oscar. Am I wrong?
