No surprise Canelo is happy working with Hearn. Eddie will feed him a steady diet of all the Euro bums he can dream of...and overpay him in the process.

I don't know that for sure, but it seems like he's getting the fights he wants a lot easier. Look at the grief everyone had trying to make the BJS fight the last time they tried vs how easily it got put together this time. He might be making less money per fight but more relative to time by fighting more frequently.

DAZN basically put Canelo on ice last year by only wanting to approve "premium" opponents.

That led to the split from Oscar and now Canelo is back, being allowed to fight Eddie Hearn's non-premium Eurobums, but probably making less money for it.

Seems a little shady. Nelo better keep his eyes open, people might not have his best interests in mind. Oscar could be right about the grass not always being greener...

          Lol, but yea this.

I mean it is a small neighborhood of boxing so I wouldn't be surprised if Oscar ends up with a guy that fights Canelo so I suppose he could work with Canelo again in that kinda way. But I doubt GBP promotes another Canelo fight

“only one fighter wasn’t happy?” Uhhh... Andrew cancio would like a word. Oh wait i guess Oscar was referring to fighters that he actually cared about. He’s right then.

              Negative.

              he’s an addict.

canelo vs Mayweather is a star studded event full of booze and drugs.

had Hoya not checked in, he may have never checked in. Fight night could’ve lead to another month of binging.

sometimes people just hate to hate.

Whether De La Hoya will work with Canelo again isn't too important. I think Hearn has a considerabe investment in DAZN, and as a good negotiator pulled Canelo in. I haven't heard what Canelo's guarantee is. Prior to the lawsuit it was 10 fight deal for about 35 millions per. I think it's a lot less now but with stock options.
Can DAZN be another Game Stop?

Oscar was resilient and tough but he was not the slick, evasive, counter puncher Canelo has become.
Oscar came up short on quite a number of fights, whether it was strategy (Tito, Floyd), outhustled (Mosleyx2), subdued (Hopkins), outboxed (Whitaker, Sturm) or beat up (PAC). And I’m saying as his fan when he was a boxer.
Canelo, over time has transformed into a pure boxer. Sure he struggled against certain styles and matchups but Canelo has about 10 fights left in him and is looking to unify the 168 Ibs division in dominant fashion.
Historically, Canelo will rank way higher than Oscar, once his career is over.
