Both coming off of Long Layoffs so that kind of even things out I guess! Gary picks Rey Vargas apart though, shocked that Rey jumping right into this one off of a very long layoff and coming back from injury without a Tune Up

Decent Fight "Name Wise" but neither been very active as of late so neither is fresh on the minds of fans

PBC dragging up an inactive, lower weight spanish name to feed their *** agenda.

I'm curious how this one is gonna turn out. Gonna be a stinker so it'd be smart to have it on showtime instead of making the public suffer and have it on fox

Lmao glad someone said it. For that reason alone they might put it on fox for more people to see. Despite theres a chance it'll be a rigodeax/Stevenson type fight

Vargas has a nice record and he was a decent champ at the lower weights but I don't see him being able to defeat GRJ even with the height advantage.

I see a fight where Gary uses his speed and skills to do enough to win the majority of the rounds for a clear and comfortable UD.

They avoided a purse bid because nobody would ever bid for this crap. Not even Triller.

I'm not a fan of a guy who only fights once a year to spoon fed competition. A great fight would be with Tank or any of the current crop of lightweights. Even Santa Cruz. But for some reason this guy is not worth watching. There is very little in the way of promotion. Sometimes I really wonder where Russel even gets his enthusiasm up (or mine) for these fights. He must have a day job somewhere I guess with all this time on his hands. Usually I root for his opponent. I wish he'd fight someone who'd be a real opponent. Maybe Vargas will be finally.

That guy gave a pretty decent account of himself to be fair. Maybe Gary well squeeze in a second fight this year.

Interesting match-up, but very good chance it's an absolute bore to watch

Gary wins the first move. He's used to long lay offs.
