I ain't mad at this fight doe. Rey is a top 3 guy GRJ will have fought & might be the best guy he's beaten if he wins or 2nd best worst case.

That said I'd rather be watching GRJ vs Devin or Tank or probably 4 or 5 other guys.

Agreed. GRJ could have ended his career as an ATG. He chased after Loma and got his ass handed to him but still there is no shame is taking a loss. However, he could have unified 126 by fighting 2 or 3 times a year and sitting on 44-1 record at this point but he is an idiot.
I wonder how much he’s going to make for this fight after turning down a million bucks last month.

You are overstating. Nobody has an easy time with Gary Russell, not even Mr. Loma, ages ago.

Gary would like to be fighting Devin or Tank too! I can't put that on him!

GRJ is one of my favorite fighters. I'd LOVE to see more out of him but its once a year as always. Talent wise he has all the goods. His motivation and dedication is quite a bit of lacking though. Either way I'll be glad to see him back in the ring.

It will be a good fight and good for Russell career. But a lose is inevitable due to inactivity...

Alright fight, but underwhelming if this is his only fight this year.
Vargas style looks to unimpressive for the judges to win a decision against russell. Russell also has quick enough feet to catch up to vargas and not just follow him around.

Another joke of a fight, joke of a mandatory by the WBC. You knew when Vargas dropped his belt at super bamtamweight there was a reason why, Vargas hasn't fought in also TWO years as well. And then the Corrupt WBC Chairman Sulieman was come out and try to defend why the mandatory had a poor showing.
