On top of that Canelo has no business being at 175 anyway because he's giving away too many advantages. So he deserves extra credit for even beating a champion there in the first place.

That's something that his critics neglect to point out or appreciate.
Why would you credit a victory over someone you weight drain and fight five weeks out of a previous fight. How much credit do you give pac for beating Margo?

Your boy needs to step his game up.
This thread isn't about Crawford. Canelo did have to take the Golovkin fight. He really should have taken a 3rd one. Just like how he should have taken a Lara and Trout rematch.

Thing is I don't put these standards on Canelo, he puts them on himself. Normally a draw with GGG would be impressive, but when you parade around acting like it was an easy win (same **** he did after Lara), calling yourself the FACE OF BOXING, saying you're trying to build a legacy, you're just fooling yourself into pursuing the goals you allegedly proclaim to if you get my drift. I would have no problem with any of this if he would just stop talking trash and playing games with potential opponents.

The second Bud does any of this I'll come down just as hard on him.

People rip on Adrien Broner for doing the same thing except there were no stipulations, catchweights, short notice, or anything when he fought Paulie Malignaggi. Weight classes don't mean as much as they used to in a day and age where you have more than 1 belt. Don't get me wrong going up a full ORIGINAL 8 weight class is impressive (160 to 175, forget about "super"), but it's not like he beat the champ there.

I have no problem giving Pacquiao credit for that win. He took Margarito's best shots and eventually diamantled him. It was impressive.

          Same goes for Canelo.

When did Canelo call himself the face of boxing?

I think for you this thread is exactly about Crawford. Since that is who Canelo is displacing as P4P #1 on a lot of lists.

And I seriously doubt you'll ever come down hard on Bud. Because if you applied the same standards to him that you do to Alvarez you'd be all over him by now, since Crawford falls much shorter of meeting them.

Truth is boxing fans whom have always had animosity towards GBP they pull and exploit the robbery theory since it stemmed from CJ Ross even Bradley PAC 1. As if Oscar was responsible for CJ Ross for the PAC fight... Canelo haters never apply 3 judge rule to his fights and only apply to one judge ala CJ Ross.

You’ve got dumb posters saying Canelo “should’ve rematched Lara, Trout.” Canelo proved himself in unification with Trout. These guys won’t even acknowledge the knockdown. They also won’t acknowledge that Lara was less effective with Canelo than the Angulo fight and got clipped twice on the canvas. Canelo proved to be the aggressor and body scorer for the guy who challenged at the podium but preferred Olympic style running... Canelo is the HNIC!

You're comparing undisciplined ass Broner to Canelo? And a win over Malignaggi to a win over Kovalev?

                Wow.

It is never going to STOP in fact it will only get worse! I do laugh a little at people who did the same thing to Mayweather, now getting all emotional and sensitive over people putting that same pressure and always wanting MORE and MORE from Canelo!

Ray Leonard, Oscar, Mayweather all had those their share of Critics, when you're the biggest Draw fans are going to want you to fight any and everybody regardless of weight class

I mean Kovalev was, what, 1 year out from beating prime undefeated Ward? The rematch was a questionable match with the low blows but Ward was on his way to winning that in my opinion.

A MW/SMW beating Kovalev in their 1st fight at LHW is a good win. Period.

They should be forced to defend their position just as a belt holder fights to keep his belt.
Do you remember when canelo gave up the 160 lbs wbc belt? He didn't want to fight ggg nor unify.
