I'll be rooting hard for Dillian if this fight takes place. Whyte will around a 70/30 favourite probably. Wilder can't take a loss so can't improve, and the cat is out of the bag. Dillian will pressure him and make it an inside fight and beat the breaks of Wilder.

Deontay could be mentally broken anyway, we all saw his facial expressions before and during the Tyson 2 fight, and his words and actions after it. He's gone. Dillian will whoop him into retirement for good. Wilder needs 2 tunes ups to KO some donkeys and help himself to start to believe in his power again.

I predict this will be a very embarrassing night night Wilder.

Ortiz and Whyte is one fans wanted a long time now . Three years later Whyte won’t credit but it’s still one of the few for Ortiz that people want to see .

WBC hasn't had a mandatory. He'll get his shot and it will be a much bigger fight with much more upside than Wilder.

The upside with Wilder is minimal. Sure it's a big fight, but if he beats Wilder then Wilder's career is over. It will never be considered a great win. And if he loses, then he loses his opportunities.
Whyte got offered a shot to fight AJ for 4 world titles and a career high pay day, and he ran away scared.

Whyte doesnt even back himself to beat any top 5 guy. He's an awful boxer, who struggles with c grade guys.

That's fair comment, but he had (he felt) an alternative of fighting the weaker champion as a mandatory rather than a short prep for the better fighter with a rematch. Obviously it didn't eventuate but you can see his thinking.

If he wants a belt now he has to go through AJ or Fury. He can't beat them but that's the fight to go for - not some second prize payday against a belt less Wilder.

wilder had a close fight with tyson fury. i thought he lost the first fight but it was quite close, lots of refs would have stopped it particularly in england when fury was on his back were the colors on the trunks changed.

whyte had a close fight with joe parker, oscar rivas, even mariusz wach. and he was planked by the luis ortiz equivalent, an aging but dangerous fighter, a 41 year old povetkin. wilder is obviously a level above dillian white any way you slice it. bigger puncher, better record, bigger draw, everything. his knockout loss was to the planet's best heavyweight, and it was a rematch of a fight deserving of a rematch. white got a green joshua and could hardly put a glove on him, got battered and stopped.

            again, levels.

That's fair. I don't think he needs a win either. I'd watch that fight anyway.

It'll be a fun fight before Wilder brutalls planks Whyte.

No one knows more about handling embarrassment than Whyte.

i imagine even hardcore brit wilder detractors are even getting sick of listening to whyte talk about wilder...i know i am...starting to think this guy just wants his chance to lick wilders neck
Although I don’t disagree wilder is a draw- your argument is very flawed. Whyte is saying without the belt wilder isn’t a draw and your comeback is explaining how he was a draw when he did have a belt?? Doesn’t make sense

Wilder was already ducking Matchroom fighters before this, years before this.
