I think he's either doing because a) Freddie Roach is talking mad ****, and he's responding (not like anyone wants to hear what joe santiago has to say) b) it's his biggest fight ever and he wants to milk it as much as he can c) it's the first time he's been written off to lose (with the general public already talking about a pac/pbf showdown) or d) All of the above

Whatever the reason you're right, he's gonna look ****** if he loses.. If Pac loses the only one eating their words is roach, so Pac looks good either way

pac has the ability to ko his opponent with a single punch. if he can caught cotto with that perfect punch then its lights-out for cotto.

Agree, i'm a cotto fan but don't breathe cotto. If he loses, he loses. I love how manny has beaten featherweights/lightweights and love how fast of a boxer he is and thought he would beat hatton but not that quick. I feel you can like a boxer but give credit when credit is due. I'm not going to treat Pacquiao like a bum, because he is not. If any of us get into ring with pacquiao or cotto we would not last 2 rds.

pac winning isn't the issue. It's the lunacy to think he's going to steam roll cotto based on his last 2 fights. There's absolutely no proof this will be the case.

Somewhat. Fought when i was 18(i'm 44) in golden gloves in NY but was just not good enough to get far, really got knocked out quick. Watched the old fights (leonard, whitaker, chavez). Would talk with Max Kellerman when he had his cable tv show and he lived in my neighborhood(NYC). On a scale of 1-10, i'm a 6-7 in knowing boxing trivia.

I like your honesty, Maybe if you got further from your Golden Gloves tournament, you might have a better opinion. Anyway it just a Opinion. I have no problem if pac get KO but i wanna see it, not just some yapping. Everybody is beatable even Ugly boy Floyd which i can't wait for his Beatdown from Marquez...

I am a little surprised by Cotto's "chattiness" this time around. However, I can understand it because he's being treated as a "journeyman" by many, many people. I don't know if you remember, but before this fight was actually inked, people from Pacquiao's camp (not Pac himself though) were basically saying that Cotto was garbage. I remember Pac's manager saying that he wanted Pac to fight Cotto because Cotto was one-dimensional like Ricky Hatton... I think this is why Cotto has fired back and called Hatton overrated...poor Hatton got caught in the crossfire hehe. Also, I remember that before the Clottey fight Pac's camp insisted that Miguel should come down to 142-143 and after the Clottey fight they got dismissive and said: "oh fine, we'll give it to you at 145" as if saying that they were not scared of him anymore.

Also, as many of you know, Cotto is not as popular as Trinidad was and many people in Puerto Rico don't like Cotto because he's always quiet, shies away from the spotlight and, in general, is not a people person. Many Puerto Rican's are hoping Cotto will lose and they say awful things about him in the comments sections. That, apart from the fact that he's the underdog for the first time in a long time, maybe has him thinking that he's not appreciated for his accomplishments and they're treating him as a stepping stone.

And besides, in the end, he's not talking "mad ****" as someone said before... he just said he knows Pac's weaknesses too and he's working hard.

point exactly, everyone is thinking Pacman is God, like i posted a few pages back, he's a good fighter, not hyped, but the fact that people are thinking he's unbeatable is funny...
