You're right, the odds don't necessarily have anything to with who the bookies actually think will win, or who is considered the favourite by well informed neutrals, they only reflect who has been betting so far, and so far more Pac fans have been betting than Cotto fans.

this fight is a much better quality and intruiging fight than cotton vs pac, however i doubt it will outsell the pac fight , cuz pac is the draw rt now , pac can fight a trash can and still draw a crowd.the best fight doesnt necassarily mean itll sell the most.

Draw?I dont know about that, the last fight Pacman had with Hatton was by far below expectations and Arum refused to release the numbers.Pac is a great fight but he's not really the draw that people want him to be.

            Wake up

Pretty easy for the pac fight to sell out when only 3,000 of the ticks were made available to the general public and true fight fans!!! Disgrace!! May vs cotto will make more $ than pac vs cotto

He will fight Pac more like the way he fought Mosley. Mosley is far more similar in style to Pac than Clottey is. Cotto adjusts to the style of the fighter he's in front of.

And I don't understand why you think you can judge someone based on their performance when they were half blind. Everyone said Khan's win over Barrera was completely meaningless because Barrera was blind in one eye for three rounds and couldn't judge distance. Well Cotto was blind in one eye for nine rounds and couldn't judge distance. To beat any top 5 fighter in those circumstances is quite an astonishing feat.

So then Floyd's never been in a mega fight? Ha dont know why I even asked you this. Of course you're going to reply with "NO ONE knew who would win between Mayweather/DLH and Mayweather/Hatton. THOSE were mega fights"

I'm not a fan of Mayweather, but I think this fight will be more interesting than the Pacquiao-Cotto fight. I don't care how close Cotto's fight with Clottey was. If he fights Pacquiao the same way he did against Clottey he is getting taken out. I think Clottey is feather fisted and his punches did damage to Cotto's face. Manny might be naturally smaller, but he is a lot more powerful than Clottey is. Do you think Pacquiao would have went the distance with a Corrales that Clottey fought? I don't think so.

The reason why people shouldn't bash the Mayweather-Marquez fight and at the same time praise the one between Cotto and Pacquiao is because Pacquiao chose Cotto because he thinks he is damaged goods. And he is. I don't care which fight does better at the gate, I just think JMM and Mayweather will put up a more exciting fight than what people are anticipating. It will be competitive even if it isn't action packed.
co-sign this fight will be far more of a nail biter its just bound to be.i hope cotto wins but i just dont see it happening he hasnt looked good latley, jmm vs may are two guys whom have never been stopped and are at their peak, cotto as great as he was, is just there to make pac look good thats why pac chose him and not mosley or the other top undamaged killers.cotto can pull out the surprise though theres a possibility that pacs power wont do crap to cotto but the chances of that i think are lower than jmm pulling the upset.this fight definitley isnt getting the respect it deserves in large part just because of what roch said -"it stinks' THEN EVERYONE RAN WITH IT ,ITS NOT TRUE ITS A REAL FIGHT.

COTOS CHANCES WOULD GO UP DRAMATICALLY WITH STEWARD COTTO NEEDS TO GET BACK to basics, this has been said before but i think cotto corner stinks right now it would be a damn shame if cotto doesnt take stewards offer.

unfortunatley jmm may have to tko mayweather just to get a draw, if its at all close its going to mayweather in order to set up maywthr vs pac. you can see this coming from ten million miles away.if it isnt close either way it will dramatically change the compexion of the immediate matchups same thing applies to pac vs cotto., i believe in my mind the main reason they gave cotto the win against clottey was in order to set up cotto vs pac as that was the big talk before clottey vs cotto, those were and are the plans. nothing more, i love cotto hes faced much tougher opponents than pac has, but when he got outconnected by like 70 punches and dazed several times i just dont see how thats at all a win judges and cut eye be damned thats just too many lost rnds and too many punches landed for clottey, and i really dont see clottey as a hard puncher either or a great fighter for that matter, just like iceta said he went 12 with a worn out shot ass liteweight in corrales. arum has lots of pull with the judges and vegas more so than golden boy, cotto vs clottey gift dec, jmm vs marquez close but jmm won, mayweather vs castillo 1 a bigtime gift dec. all arum fighters at the time or currently.
