What else do I say? I cant think of why he'd have such courage while Cotto is coming at him like a bull, then when Cotto's stumbling around the ring like a drunk...Corley starts to throw "smoke" gainer type punches. I would have had his ass if I was his trainer before RD4. I would have tore into him during that break. He had Cotto OUT and he blew it. he absolutly BLEW his chance at UPSET Fight of the Year.

It was a good punch but Cotto took lots of good shots and his chin is fine. He did not see the punch because Corley is a southpaw and he was being overly aggresive and thats why it happened. It wont happen again but everyone can think what they want and im sure some fighter will think ok he has no chin and get knocked out cold.

nex couple rounds tho he started boxing the way he always does. and even though it was disputed it was a TKO, and even if the fight would've went on IMO he would've knocked him out either way

I think we all see that Cotto is a naturally bigger fighter. Wether he was hit in the jaw or the temple, the fact remains he was badly shaken and if he was fighting a guy like KT, Harris, Gatti or Mayweather, Cotto would have been stopped. A fighter that weighs 157 lbs. was badly hurt by natural 140 pounder. Even Lovemore N'Dou had his momemts with Cotto. One would have to think his ability to handle a punch is suspect.
This was a good fight for Cotto, because I think his handlers and everyone now know that he has a few things to work on because he is not ready for prime time. He's certainly lost his aura of invincibility. Even the nuthuggers are humming a different tune.

i'll like to point out that he got hit with a punch to the left side of his head, not the chin, wasnt that the same shot that RJjr got from G.J? it was more of a punch over his left ear than the chin

Exactly..it was a temple shot, and he hung on for the remaininder of the round. I'm glad he got tested, and I'm glad he managed to survive it too. I dont think he's ready for the likes of Tszyu just yet, but I'd like to see him in against Judah or Mitchell.

Exactly right, the right hand was right on the waistline and the left to the liver hurt him as you saw in the replay. I don't know if anybody noticed but about a minute into his time he was allowed he looked at his corner w/ a smirk and winked. If it wasn't for an incompetent ref the fight would have been over round 2.

Yeah, I noticed it too. He did some acting last night, and Cotto lost a point (no warning..wtf?) because of it. He was seriously hurt from that body shot and it could easily have ended then!
