Calderon has won all his fight with a margin of 3 or more points in all the judges scorecards, with the exception of the Cazares fight and the Draw due to the cut against Mayol and we are talking a bout 33 fights here. He has not only won his fights, he has won by far while dominating his oponents with the most purest boxing skills in the sport today.

True that he can't probably KO a 2 year old boy but that's what makes him so special. Even with no punching power he uses his offensive and defensive skills to beat everybody that he has faced, not to mentioned that he defended his WBO minimum weight title 11 times and then went up directly to fight the WBO and lineal light flightweight title and champion of the moment (Cazares), and he even beat him with 3 or more points on the scorecards and has defended that title 3 time with success and 1 draw (to Mayol because of a cut).

If Calderon would had been a true power puncher we will be witnessing a perfect unbeatable boxer and would not even be fair for him to have faced the oponents that he has.

In my opinion he is currently underrated but i understand why. These small division do not have the popularity of the higher divisions and these type of pure boxing style in kind of extinct now.

But if you look at Boxing Scene's P4P list Calderon has dominated more his oponents than what Hopkins, Mosley and JMM have. All above Calderon on the P4P list.

Calderon Overrated, Now that's a good Joke
i very much agree to all your comments.
don't waste your energy now on that poster you were replying to..he's nonsense.

im not bias dumb****. maybe mosley is way better skilled than pac say 10 years ago when pac's skill is still raw.but at this stage of their career, pac's a better boxer skill wise. he's no longer a one dimensional boxer like he used to be.he can now box with both hands and brawl if he wants to.

Pac has no defense. As long as Cotto can time Calderon and catch him, Packy is dead meat.
pac's best defense is his offense!!
his speed in both feet and hands is another good defense.
his cross ryt is another big defense disguised as offense!!

pac's opponents got no time for offense, being very busy defending themselves...
pac's main defense takes away his foe's offense.
          you got that??

yeah, getting used to the timing...but not throwing any punch at ivan.
cotto myt get used to not throwing a punch, even against manny.
he got used to fyting calderon.

I agree with you that Pacman's skill have imporved a lot from that raw fighter he was years ago but not to the level of Mosley.

I'm not saing that Pacquiao wont be a threat to Cotto becuase he will,
just saying that Mosley is a bigger threat for Cotto.

On the other hand Cotto will be by far Pacman's biggest threat so far in his career.

Since I ansewed your question can you answer mine?? Do you agree with the poster who i was actually replying to by saying that Cotto doesn't even have a chance against Pacman????
No, i don't agree. cotto has a chance to win this fight in the same way as pac. but like i said, skill will be tghe difference in this fight and not the size.

I agree with our statement even though Pacquiao's offense seem a little disorganized at times.

That's why i have always said that the key for Cotto will be his Jab to try and stop Pacquiao and his constant offense and then work on his attack.

Remember that Cotto's stiff, quick and strong jab will be something that Pacquiao has never seen in his carreer. A jab that has knocked down stronger, heavier and bigger oponents than Pacquiao and it is not a hard punch to land specially when Pacman initiate his attack.
