Paul Williams has all the tools to beat Kelly Pavlik. I think
people are focusing too much on Pavlik's power like he is a
crazy devastating puncher but in all actuality he is not. The
same hype about his power was the same hype Cintron
and Cotto had and look what happened to them when they
went against a guy who power didn't matter anymore, they
got beat down. Same what Mosley did to Margarito. Power
is an important part of the equation but if you can't get off
then how can it be effective? All Paul has to do is neutralize
his power and he beats Pavlik easy like Bhop did. Not comparing
the two but Williams is a skillful fighter as well.

I don't have Pavlik winning for that reason. If all he brings to the table is power that's only thing that has to be neutralized. Paul has to completely give up his advantages to be whooped. That's not really a con.

Aslong as Williams stays inside Pavlik's power he is golden, Pavlik needs to fully extend to get his biggest power shots and to me WIllaims despite his long arms is a much better inside fighter.

If Williams does his normal fight from the inside and the outside he will eat power shots though because he always gets caught when he is inbetween.

Your wrong. Williams boxed circles around Margarito
and used his smarts and the ring to his advantage and
he did the same to Wright and all the others guys he
has went up against with exception to the first Quintana
fight. Sounds to me like your underrated Williams and it's
ok to not like him because that's your opinion and prerogative
but if you are going to sit here and say that Williams is not
a more skillful fighter than Pavlik then clearly your not
speaking from a fight fan perspective but more from a
personal one. Williams has been impressive in all of
his fights and has shown improvements each time.
Pavlik has been dropped and schooled by an older
fighter because of his limitations as a fighter. I like
Pavlik but Paul to me is an all around better fighter.
Williams chin is sturdy so if Pavlik can't dent it then
he loses.

His atributes are Stamina, Punch output, height and reach(Wich in this fight will be meaningless).

He always get hit a lot, even Winky was landing lots of shots!!!

Someone I know mentioned before that earlier in his career Pavlik was rocked by lesser fighters. Don't know how true but there is no questioning his heart IMO. I was a little surprised how many times Hopkins was able to stun him though. The Executioner isn't much of a one-punch guy.

You may be thinking about Zuniga where he hit pavlik with a stiff shot and knocked him down, but it was a flash knockdown. Pavlik got right back up wasnt hurt at all, and Zuniga didnt go after him at all knowing Pavlik wasnt even stunned.

Bronco McKart has got a knockdown recorded against Pavlik, but if anyone here actually watched the fight, Bronco never had Pavlik hurt and it was clearly a slip.

there is nothing questionable about his chin, its one of the best in the game, the only time i've seen him hurt are when he gets hit with a flush shot to the temple.

He did but I'm of the opinion Miranda's power is more overrated than Miranda himself. He also got dropped and nearly stopped by JT. That said, I think Pavlik has a decent chin. Not good but decent.

i agree....decent. it might sound crazy, but i got williams stopping dude. JT can't pop, and he said he ran outta energy, but he almost stopped pavlik.....had hopkins said "**** it" and went for the kill, he could've stopped pavlik. i think williams has decent enough pop, i don't get why ppl say dude has no power.....pavlik will be there, and he'll get hit, a lot. i don't think a stoppage is outta the question.
