Yup, he always had trouble with those type of fighters.

LMAO Wow. Hopkins,Toney,Virgil Hill,Clinton Woods, Lou Devalle, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum were "journeyman? And say what you want about Ruiz but Jones(other than Tua) was the only fighter to solve that ugly style and dominate him. And he came up from 175 to do it. Tarvers resume is not even close to being better than Jones.

Roy was dead tired by round 4-5.. its not excuse, its just the way it was.

You act as if that's the sole reason why. It's not. Jones has struggled before and he's had similar issues with his back against the ropes. Maybe this time he was tired but it makes little sense since he's done it before.

I'll say this - you can believe it or not - but I was shocked Jones beat Tarver the first time. I had predicted (going on two years) that Tarver would beat Roy if they ever met. Just based on styles. I'm a big Roy fan so I didn't even watch the first fight live because I was pretty sure he was gonna get a whupping. It was simply a bad style match up. I took a lot of heat for picking Roy to get KO'ed in the rematch but that's what happened.
