It was just a different reason to me... he was CLEARLY tired, and didnt have the choice to turn around with his back to the center of the ring... the fights arent comparable to me, there were different factors involved.

Explain those factors. Jones did the same thing in that fight...land one or two punches in the middle of the ring and then go to the ropes where he clearly was getting the worst of it. Griffin did little in the center of the ring (like you say Tarver did) yet somehow Jones kept retreating to the ropes--even the HBO announcers were baffled.

So what were the factors? I'm of the opinion Griffin was simply too patient for Roy who naturally is a counterpuncher and couldn't lead in the center of the ring. Same with Tarver. Reminds me of prior to the Jones-Toney fight when Toney - asked who would play the role of counterpuncher said he would. When the reporter asked, why would Jones lead? Toney replied, "he won't be able to resist it."

Roy struggles with counterpunchers. In his prime those were the fighters who gave him trouble.

Tarver is exactly the type of fighter that gives Jones problems, a tall lanky southpaw who knew how to use his size and reach to his advantage. A prime Jones would've probably won but Tarver would've been trouble.

James "my momma owns a bakery" Toney had to lose like 40lbs when he fought Roy. How come nobody brings that up. he was weight drained also.

Exactly, Silencers. He struggled with Frankie Liles in the amateurs for that reason, struggled with Eric Harding for that reason and got dropped by Lou Del Valle for that reason.

              Because he's always weight drained.

The factor i was referring to which ive already said.. was fatigue... in the 1st griffin fight, montell was awkward and roy was struggling with him a bit, but he wasnt tired in that fight the way he was with tarver.

True. James had no discipline. I think he ate himself out of a HOF career

Yet the result was still the same. Jones retreating to the ropes repeatedly where he was getting beat up. Maybe Roy's just dumb .

He's definitely a HOF'er without question and one of the best fighters of this generation.
