Im not picking on them because they are not the only ones. But really, doesnt Mayweather mop the floor with these guys. Lets take that down a notch. Thats my personal opinion. OK doesnt he beat all three.
Castillo beat Mayweather in their first fight and both Chavez and Duran are waaay craftier and harder punchers than Castillo. I haven't seen Pep fight, but the way people more knowledgable in boxing ranks the guy makes me believe that mopping the floor with him is easier said than done.

Floyd's legend is built on skill, not actual accomplishment.

You would probably never hear Pep or Duran say they'd never fight a particular opponent because he is not worthy, not on his level, doesn't bring enough money to the table etc.

Floyd would never mop the floor with these guys, because in the first place, Floyd would never fight them for multiple reasons.

I wouldn't say so.....I have every single Mayweather fight burned to DVD and I haven't seen anything to justify all the claims that he's the best skilled fighter that people have seen. I mean really, you only have to go back to the '90s and pull up names like Whitaker and Jones to find better skilled fighters. I seriously think that much of the Mayweather hyp comes from people who think that if a fighter is the best of today then he is automatically the best ever.....as if fighters were game systems and ever generation blows away the last ones PS2.

you are not a student of the boxing game, and your opinion is an uneducation one.

But for fun, on what basis did you form your opinion? Maybe starting with Duran?

It would be easier to qualify if Floyd fought anyone like those on the ATG list. Has he?

Chavez Sr was pretty big so I'd give him a good shot against Floyd. p4p Floyd was better, although his resume isn't.
I haven't seen many Pep fights so I wouldn't know.
That's about the daftest post I've seen in a long time. How much bigger is Chavez? Do you even realise that he went through the exact same weight divisions that Mayweather did apart from SFW? He went from lightweight to JWW and then to WW. Just like Mayweather. He actually started at a lower weight than Mayweather. He won titles at the above mentioned weights though. So, in reality, Mayweather is probably bigger than Chavez.

Mayweather beating Duran at 135 easily? The same guy that beat De Jesus, Buchanan, Marcel, Palomino and Leonard? Hmmm, I can understand why you might pick Mayweather, but to say he would beat him easily is quite simply just foolish.

Mayweather in my opinion would beat both Pep and JCC. Pep wasn't a hard puncher, infact he was a little guy. We're talking about Mayweather here, Floyd was a pretty big SFW. I ain't a hypocrite, I've always said power wasn't needed to get the win but how could Pep get Mayweather's respect, would he find sucess trying to outbox Mayweather? Hard to think of such a fight, really is, damn hard to picture
What weights are we talking about JCC and Duran?

Pep wouldn't need respect, Floyd doesn't walk people down and I don't know if he could counter pep, or use that straight right. I haven't seen enough Pep.

just cuz Pernell could school Chavez, means nothing. Pernell fought everyone and was a very hard man, same with Randall.

Taylor was ruined by JCC, I see that as a much more likely outcome for Fooyd because he is deathly afraid to mix it up nowadays.

No way of knowing who would win. At this point I would not rate Mayweather over any of them based on career numbers. All three deserve to be ranked high. Especially Pep who can make a case for top 1-3.
