dont knock what you dont know. Even amateur wrestling is very difficult and requires alot of skill. Kids are bred from 5 years old all the way to college. Insecure boxing fans claiming boxing as the best and most difficult sport in the world will look like idiots outside of boxing, and vice versa. Did you know the world does not revolve around boxing and there are other points of views outside of it besides yours?

Take away the curropt aspect of boxing politics and look at the facts.

A fighter of the calibur that Anderson Silva holds is nothing to be denied of anything less than true greatness in the sport of MMA but in boxing he had a few fights and lost one by Tko,What does that tell you? I think it speaks for itself.

Boxing you need years of practice, years of discpline if not at least an understanding of the sport and time to learn the varity of dimensions it holds.

It tells you he's a better mixed Martial artist than boxer.

That's like saying Tennis is harder than football because Brian Urlacher is a good football player but a ****ty Tennis Player.

MMA requires a greater diversity of skill, boxing requires specialization.

                Two sports..

Why every other day there is a new topic about this subject?

If you don't like MMA, don't watch it! No one forces you to watch it.

Two sports - Two set's of rules - two type's of athletes.

At least MMA champions are defending titles against #1 contenders regulary... And not every two years.

MMA is still a relatively new sport. How could fighters like Silva, Machida, etc have bred since birth. Everyone now came from varying martial arts, and is adapting into MMA. 20 years from now you'll have fighters being trained straight into MMA as a teen. More skilled, maybe. But for now, the sport itself is very young. Im sure there was a time when boxing was only 15 years old.

Is there anyone that was impressed by UFC101? The product will kill the hype if they are not careful. Combine that with drastically underpaid fighters (or overpaid in boxing) and its time is limited. UFC has peaked. It's biggest names are fighters who haven't been in the game very long. Lesnar - Kimbo would break all kinds of UFC records and that's just sad.

Yes and as the fighters become more skilled in boxing, the sport will evolve back on to the ground. No way guys are gonna wanna stand and trade with a pro quality boxer even if they themselves are a pro quality boxer. Things will go back to the ground and become borderline boring to watch.

Just as you said, the sport is relatively new and still evolving. What you see now, isn't what you'll see later. With boxing, you know what you have and it's still on top.
