Brock Lesner became the UFC's Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in just 4 fights, and in just 3 previous wins.

Ok, yea yea, he has a big Wrestling background, and Wrestling is a big part of the UFC.

Matt Skelton was a previous kickboxer, and boxing is a big part of kickboxing, he didn't get anywhere.

Vitali Klitschko was a professional Kickboxer, I didn't see him get a title shot with the Undisputed Heavyweight champ after having a record of 2-1.

Obvious though Boxing is the sport that requires more skill and dedication etc etc mutha***ing etc... To be a Champ in our sport takes years and years of training...

Brock is also a freak of nature. Wrestling alone isn't going to cut it. Josh Koscheck has a bigger wrestling background than Brock and he isn't champion and probably never will be.

It's harder to hit a little box(the head) than it is to have the whole body for attack. Boxing is a very refined sport that in 99% of any fight the better athlete is going to win. MMA is somewhat a crap shoot, thats why you see many not so great records and many more upsets happening. Its pretty obvious that its harder to become a world class boxer than it is a world class MMA star.

lol, I don't know, It just kinda, came out.

I just think that even people on here, fans of the sport, underestimate boxers and their skills.

People actually thought Anderson Silva could beat Roy Jones in a Boxing Match, come the **** on, you gotta be kidding me.

MMA rules, maybe so, but BOXING!

tsk tsk. Insecure **** like this makes boxing fans look bad.

Like I said before, boxing IS part of MMA. This is like saying playing quarterback is much more difficult than playing football... which makes absolutely no sense. A much more fitting comparison would be to say boxing is a deeper sport than Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, etc... and I'd argue that that statement is equally as worthless as the first.

And besides, equating skill to the difficulty in acquiring an alphabet championship in boxing is laughable. The corruption and politics that dominate the sport today make the majority of belts in boxing relatively worthless anyway.
