SOME of the damage?!? I guess those massive uppercuts and right hands Benn landed almost at will from round 2 till the end only did "some damage"? Seriously, you guys need to get over this with McClellan and Benn. McClellan lost and Benn won, fair and square. I do pity McClellan and he was a great fighter, but Benn really got to him that night.
Greater fighter Toney or Calzaghe?

benn won, but the fight wasnt stopped cuz he legitimately knocked mcclellan out. it was mcclellan was unable due to the damage he had taken to the brain, in other words over the course of his career. after his first fight with jackson in which he took the most brutal punches i ever seen a man take without going down he complained of "weird headaches" diffrent from anything he ever felt after boxing before. julian jackson did the damage and benn finished the job. had mclellan not been injured theres no telling how the fight wouldve ended. there was nothing fair and square about the rabbit punches constantly thrown by benn without a single warning from the ref, u can say the same about the headbutts and ofcourse holding back mcclellan from benn when he was hurt. also remembering benn knock down barkley, walk away, only to walk back and hit barkley as he was trying to get back up only for the ref to keep counting. ffs even if the US wasnt the home of big time boxing americans still shouldnt go to brittain considering how corrupt there is. worst than germany, there they might rob ppl of a decision but atleast they dont risk the fighters health by disregarding the rules. wouldnt be surprised if a handful of brits used margarito wraps against visitors coming to brittain to fight.

it's well known mclellan was damaged goods going into the fight. if you can't accept that then i guess you never will. one of his sparring partners hit him with a jab and he got hurt badly and started blinking like he was having a stroke.

Indeed,it was Tarick Salmaci. And he was probably 15 lbs lighter tha nMcClellan.
Not to mention Don King reportedly payed off doctors so that McClellan could pass the medical.
G-Mna was damaged goods going tin the Benn fight.Comment

yea he was a welterweight and mclellan weighed like 175 during sparring. mclellan never recovered after that first jackson fight. he had 3 easy 1 round knockouts and then the benn fight was his first tough fight where his brain was truly tested.Comment
-
It sure didnt look like that in the first round.Comment
-
thats cuz he didnt get hit. his brain was already damaged, as soon as he got hit with a proper punch it was gon break down.
didnt u read about the headache and the sparring? dont be so biased, its obvious he was damaged goods.Comment

Then why would his camp let him fight the greatest puncher in the division?? Makes no sense, does it?Comment
-
they didnt. thats why he left the kronk and got a inexperinced corner team who just let him do his own thing. ever listened to the things being said in his corner between rounds? his camp was a joke.Comment
