anyone who really knows about toney and calzaghe, without bias, without just agreeing with the flow, knows that Toney was the better fighter, the better resume, just all round greater boxer then calzaghe

      Poor example.

See how good Toney's defence is? B-hops is great but Toney's is better. A lot of Toneys defence is subtle, the way he slips just inside Nunn's jab as he launches his own attack, the way he twists and dips to the rhythm of Nunn's punches when Nunn tries to throw combos, lifting or dropping his gloves/elbows....not that you can be expected to understand any of that

jirov is very similar to calzaghe, and is bigger and could take better punches...prime toney would ko prime calzaghe with a counter thats the honest unbiased truth....

LMAO what's with all the Toney d*ck ridders!?

          Calzaghe > Toney...

Toney beat Nunn, McCallum and Holyfield, fair enough but he fell off after the Holyfield fight. Calzaghe was on top of his division for over a decade..

Calzaghe beat Eubank, who was a bit past it but nevertheless. Then he slaughtered the best the USA had to offer at the tie in Lacy. He also unified against Kessler who is the favourite to win the Super 6 SMW contest. Then Calzaghe moved up and beat Hopkins who was recognised as the best LHW (despite his age), who also went on to beat Pavlik in a UD. Meaning Calzaghe was rated as best LHW. He then beat a past-prime RJJ, which wasn't much of a feat.

Calzaghe would clean up the Super 6 SMW if he returned, end of..

Toney has too many losses and draws on his record to even be compared to Calzaghe

Benn, Eubank and Calzaghe were all ducked by your americans, the only ones who fought were Mclellan who got beaten into being disabled, and Lacy who has never been the same mentally since calzaghe ****d him on international tv.

YOu cant blame joe that your guys were too scared to fight him.
mclellan got injured, if he hadnt he wouldvr beaten benn. i know some of the damage was inflicted by benn (most was from the first jackson fight) but still. lacy cant be mentioned amongst these guys, u might aswell mention manfredo. anyone who brings up lacy should immediately be dismissed due to ridiculous bias. he never beat nobody before calzaghe eighter. this "never been the same" BS is ******ed. what was he before? nothing. he got a easy road to a championship then beat a weak titlist. u are not above the level of your competition . lacy was on the level of syd vanderpool. as for americans being scared, i remember toney calling out both eubank and benn at the same time live in toney like fashion. u could clearly tell neighter one wanted any parts of lights out. michael nunn also did everything he could to get a fight with either one but to no avail. im not american btw, just telling it like it is. jones and hopkins fought him even though they needed a cain to walk up the ring steps, i know u are not gon try to accuse toney of ducking joe. nobody can accuse toney of ducking anyone, the thought of him ducking calzaghe of all ppl is just silly.

why do ppl keep bringing this up?

bcuz america is the centre stage of boxing. its were u come if u want to fight the best which u need to do in order to be considered the best. all the best fighters are not from the states, but thats were they all come to meet. if they aint there they aint the best. im not american, i just see things for what it is. im half european and half caribbean, and ppl from both places need to go to the US if they want to be considered the best. to think we can compete with the US market is just ignorant.

Toney did beat Michael Nunn and McCallum and had success at higher weights

I'd say Toney...Joe stayed in his backyard too long...
