Tito will destroy PWILL at 147 and 154 IMO

DLH, was very versatile and was able to adapt, And was extremely fast at 147, Williams Margarito would have issues trying to land on him, PBF would just get beat by a bigger fighter, no discredit to PBF but a prime DLH would have beat him and possibly by KO. Mosely even back then would be all over PBF,Williams and Margarito like a fly on **** thats just his style, none of those guys had or have the power to stop Shane from coming in with power shots all night. Tito's stamina hear and power would pull him through. And Quartey..they would all give him a good fight but Qaurtey would win no doubt.ODLH is your classic textbook fighter, jab and (insert punch here)... well buddy the jab dont work against a guy who has Ali-like reach.(Oscar's 73 vs PW's 82) Tito wouldn't last a constant onslaught of punches, just always getting shots thrown at you with no break in between(1200+ punches in a 12 round fight). Quartey would get frustrated and lose horribly by a lopsided decision. Mosley would lose too because back then, he lacks the experience that he showed against Margarito. He wouldn't punch and clinch. He would fight like a young fighter.
Mayweather, Margarito, and Williams have styles and abilities that transcend time. They can survive any and every era. Cotto on the other hand, honestly can only survive the current era.Comment

Let's bring attention to why you're choosing between guys I really don't get why any guy would do that unless...

Is this your type of slick defensive guys?Comment

Mayweather can be reasonably argued as one of the smartest boxers ever. He hardly ever gets into trouble, rarely takes risks, and only jumps for the kill when he knows for sure the opponent is hurt. Until then, how can you hit him? The fab four era would be the toughest era for him but I think he could make his name shine in lights like the others.
Margarito's style is simple. Keep comming forward, keep throwing punches. When you have a chin like him, the chances for him not to succeed is slim. He applies relentless pressure, has leverage because he is taller than the field (even the fab four era, he is tall). He has a plateau of power, hitting you as hard just as hard in the 12th round as he did in the 1st. Where everyone else is tired and worn down, he is still treking forward with no drop in punch volume.
Williams is basically the same as Margarito. With the exception that he isn't just personality, he gots the looks too. He can take damage, keep comming and keeps throwing punches. The difference with him is that he has speed, footwork, and brains. He knows how to move out of the way, unlike Margarito. He has the footwork too keep up with guys who like to move away. And has the IQ to hit you in an educated way (not obvious combos). A plus is that he is what? 6'3"? Hearns would even have trouble with Williams(William's 82 vs Hearns 78 reach).
These guys could survive any era. In short. Mayweather has the brains for every era. Margarito have the toughness, Stamina, work rate mixture for every era. Williams has a freak physical advantage and the same attributes as Marg + speed, footwork, and brains for every era.Last edited by F l i c k e r; 08-10-2009, 02:29 AM.Comment

ehh, reasonable enough. I like to see people's reasons for why fighters would win, you gave me that. I am satisfied, I have no further aguement with this topic. Still though, I have my own opinion on the matter but I am satisfied.DLH, was very versatile and was able to adapt, And was extremely fast at 147, Williams Margarito would have issues trying to land on him, PBF would just get beat by a bigger fighter, no discredit to PBF but a prime DLH would have beat him and possibly by KO. Of course you have your own opinion it's totally hypothetical I laugh at the guys that try to get all technical to prove their point when the reality is the fight never happend and no one knows who would win for sure.Comment

cool, I respect your opinion as well.Comment

I don't agree with a lot of this but am to tired to argue in detail at the moment. I do however appreciate you taking the time and breaking down your reasons. Respect for that. We'll argue about it tomorrow my friend.Comment
